Some people can't handle being in huge crowds and trapped like that. Panic attacks happen. You've got to know what you're getting into before hand and plan accordingly

Come join bro. I'm actually bringing out a huge tarp. Plenty of room.

Generally you can figure out how to handle crowd issues. Just a little planning and common sense.
Last year on Elton John Saturday was nuts though.

Home run weather weekend this year. Love it!!

I see no point to go sit in the sun and listen to music when I can wait until they go to the smoothie king center or some indoor venue. Music fests are pretty stupid

Except you can see several bands, eat great food, and meet up and hang with friends.
The people watching is pretty good too.

Got there at 10:30. Set up near the speakers and had a great day. Last year I was one of those that couldn't take the crowds and had to leave. This year was much better.

That's why my arse is staying home and drinking beer at Courtyard and Avenue. I'm done after last year. Y'all can have it.

I'm not queer. I'm married though now I just don't understand why the crowds feel so much worse these last two years. We used to setup way towards the back and never have any issues. Now even way back there it is like a can of sardines

I understand Jazz fest has no obligation to change as they are making hand over fist. Just giving my observation. Lester and arse can now go give each other alpha mr badass reach arounds

ha not trying to be alpha but i was at the acura for 8 hours today. got out pretty easy to get food, drink and to use the bathroom. it was a little slow coming back but everyone was calm and patient on all my runs. I never saw anyone panicking, i think you're being over dramatic and prob upset that you didnt get there early enough to get a decent spot?

food lines werent abnormal and bathroom lines were only 2-3 deep at the far end of the Acura stage.

I got there when nobody was there and setup in the very back. I don't give a shite about a "good spot." We always setup in the back to have room and some space. That is never been an issue until the last two years. I understand some don't mind this. However, for my group it is no longer enjoyable. Not a huge deal. Not sure why some have to take such offense to a simple observation. I still love the fest and will continue to go on thurs/fri and hit up the small tents on the weekend

You had Van Morrison to draw people to the Gentilly stage at the same time. Tomorrow you have a much less popular Nick Jonas so I would expect about the same size crowd at the Acura stage. I guess less people may go on a Sunday

eta: I told myself I would never go on a Saturday or Sunday again about 3 years ago but the Chili Peppers have dragged me out there for another weekend.
