Crowd at pearl jam wasn't bad at all. Can't wait for the peppers today

Besides the lack of clouds, yesterday was one of the better days of the last few years. I could leave from the middle, go take a piss, buy a beer, and be back 5min
Springteen 2 years ago was the first time I thought there was a risk. Elton John was an obvious screw up. Corrections have been made and the fest is back to normal.

I've tried to find a good RHCP show on youtube, it doesn't exist. Frusciante was the soul of that band. Their new guy can cover for him. Songs like Wet Sand and Slow Cheetah shouldn't be played. I'm fully prepared to be underwelmed.

There isn't a performer I want to see so badly that I would put up with that. This started with DMB, Phish, and Panic years ago, and I think when the foundation saw the $$$$$ they couldn't resist.

For the most part the music yesterday was awful. Nigel Hall was by far the best show we saw.

We weren't even within sight of the stage when we hit an absolute wall. I'm usually very aggressive getting through crowds and finding a path, but this was the fricking Hoover Dam on the track. People were pushing at us from behind like a giant wave, we had to turn and push our way out.
the walkway at Acura was crowded but only in sections. There were huge sections of open areas after a while

This is why I cannot go to these music festivals anymore. The food and music are great, but the crowds are such a turn off. I prefer much smaller concert type settings. And yeah, I know it's all subjective, yada-yada.

I thought the crowd control yesterday was much improved. Security was walking at the Acura stage and having people with chairs/blankets move. I was able ton get beer twice during pearl jam and walk back to my spot, that was impossible during elton john last year.

Decadence is around the corner

You seem mad, maybe you can slap Rickie Fowler on his arse Tuesday

Same reason I gave up on the CCC, after 17+ years.
Organizers have basically said, " we don't have to GAS, so we don't".

Alright smartass. I have been every year for the last 15 years. Last year forward the first year it was ever a true issue. I think the New Orleans festivals are just exploding in popularity for outsiders
Well then you should remember those pre Katrina years when the crowds were routinely as large/bigger than Elton last year....
I don't disagree with you though, I didn't even go yesterday because I didn't want to deal with it. It's gotten pretty bad, they should maybe limit the amount of tix, or have tiers tickets for time of entry.
I also hate to say it because I love a good sit, but chairs are a problem. They are essentially littered throughout the grounds, people leaving them there without a single person guarding the fort. Unreasonable amount of space being eaten up by people to greedy or oblivious to give up a space

I was there last year and that was the biggest crowd I have seen. They have to raise the prices to control the crowd.

I though it seemed less crowded today than it usually is on a Sunday.
