You can 100% support Israel in this (as I do) but also feel great sympathy for all the everyday Palestinians whose lives are about to get fricked up.

Can these two groups of people ever co-exist?
I don’t claim to fully understand the complexities of their geo-political relationship, but it seems to me one side is more prone to attack soft targets, kids, women, and the elderly.

With 1/2 of Syria now living in Germany, maybe it would better to relocate the people in Gaza. Syria has plenty of room.

Right. And every drop of blood that co.es from this will be on Hamas. Every Jew and every innocent Palestinian that gets caught up in this is a direct result of the actions of Hamas. No one else.

I think the worst case scenario is Hezbollah joining the fight on the scale they did in 2006 and then Israel basically trying to reoccurs the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon causing so much collateral damage and civilian casualties that other Arab nations feel they have no choice but to engage Israel militarily.

Hamas has been preparing for urbn combat for years but Israel will not go house to house like we did in Fallujah. They'll put a JDAM through anything that looks like a fortification and move on to the next one. Unfortunately I don't see many of the hostages making it out alive.

Israeli Soldiers: Gaza bombing will continue even if the Israeli hostages get hurt unless we receive accurate information about their place.

I think the point is they don't care about the "Palestinians".. Hamas & Hezbollah have their own agendas and the "Palestinians" are merely a tool for them to exploit..

Israel kind of has to do this or it gives validation to that hostage tactic.

The Gaza Strip really isn’t that large when you look at it as an overlay of common references.

Not a lot of operational “ground to cover”, so to speak, if all you want to do is blow shite

Correction: this is population density.

The Boston overlay will give the closest comparison for size as it has almost the same population density as the Gaza Strip

Not without one side completely turning the other cheek. Every generation will have people going through life with a hatred of the other and having little regard for them because they were both suffered horrible losses. Not to mention there is too much political power to be amassed on either side by having a continuous enemy.

Most people can’t be bothered to learn basic personal finance, much less have any notion of how our financial system works.

They think we can just print money forever with no consequences and then get confused why their grocery bill has doubled.

i dont think so

one of my buddies from college was jordanian palestinian. legtimiately a good guy who is very secular and just a normal human being. for whatever reason though, that stopped at anything regarding israel. like if we were watching something with natalie portman, he would just leave. and he grew up here.

i honestly dont know how you can reconcile with these two people. the shite is too pervasive and it ecompases good, every day people, who probably would never actively participate in the acts of terror that hamas just performed, but gun to their heads, probably wouldnt stop it either

its just fricked. israel cant continue to live like this, but the answer is so awful that idk how they can take the measures necessary without a shite ton of blood on their hands

At this point, outside of lining up civilians and executing them (Palestinian style), no blood spilled in Gaza is on Israel's hands.

I feel bad for the children and women. The images I’ve seen on X are savage. But something needs to happen. We can’t be on the brink of a world war every time Iran decides to fund Hamas.

Sounds like a pretty standard either 1000 pound bomb or possibly a 2000 pounder (delayed fuse, hardened case bunker buster). Doesn't sound like a Daisy Cutter or MOAB class ordnance

I don't disagree but fwiw even using those tactics in Mosul in 16-19 the Iraqis still had an estimated 5k KIA. That's with US artillery, air power and even ground troops backing them up. The Israelis are taking on a massive task here if they're going to invade and reoccupy Gaza. Granted the Israelis are better trained than the Iraqis but still, this is going to be an awful fight. Gaza has 2 million ppl crammed into it, Fallujah only had 350k and Mosul only about one million.

For perspective they had 120 KIA in 2006 fighting Hezbollah, they took 44 just yesterday and if you look at the casualties on sites like Ynet and Haaretz a very disproportionate amount were from their special forces units.
