I don’t think that Israel can go nuclear without serious consequences from the US, UK, and France. The US has always protected the fiction that Israel has no nukes. We’ve played along even though everyone suspected there were 70 plus warheads in Israel. If those warheads are used, the fiction is gone, and US policy towards Israel will have to shift. We are opposed to proliferation. Period. We can wink and nod while allies such as Israel or Taiwan get nukes all the way up to the point they are used. At that point, the world changes.
Israel has got to dramatically hit Iran hard and do it without nukes. Israel has to dramatically hit Gaza and avoid hitting the hostages. There are no easy options right now, although of the two things Israel must do, hitting Iran might be the easiest.

I dont see where flinging a nuke does them any good anyway. They've got all the conventional hardware needed to flatten every habitable city in the middle east in a few days.

I think there are people being ironic and trying to call out the stupidity of the left. Yet the board is reading the comments unironically (I think.)
Everyone should generally have a red cloud of blood over their eyes that terrorists have killed nearly 1k, and kidnapped women, kids, bombed ambulances, etc. I don't care what religion you are, that's not cool.

The Israelis believe that if Iran produces a nuke it will quickly be smuggled to Hamas or some other front group and used against them. The believe this because Iran abs Hamas had publicly stated this many time. Israel is a very very small county, 2 or 3 nuke hits and they all dead. So they will never let this happen.
If they have to use a tactical nuke to destroy this threat they will do so no matter what we say because in their mind it’s completely justified self defense, and required for their survival. All the Arabs know this and all but Iran, (Pakistan is a different topic I am ignoring for this scenario) have not pursued nuclear weapons as a result. You have to remember, Israel is what is left of the 12 million or so European Jews after the final solution and they will not go down that path again and will melt the entire Middle East into a piece of glass if necessary.
So will they use a tactic nuke or melt Iran to survive? every damn day and twice on Sunday

The U.S. Air Force will reportedly be Deploying an additional 20-25 F-15 and F-35 Multirole Fighter Jets to the Middle East over the coming days with the Objective of this Deployment being to prevent the War in Israel from spreading into the remainder of the Middle East while also acting as a Deterrent against any kind of Iranian Interference or Aggression.

I just don't see where nuclear weapons offer them any real advantage over their conventional stuff. They've got the hardware to destroy anything that they know the location of. It only seems valuable for flattening chunks of cities, and I doubt they get THAT rowdy.
I question the real combat value of nukes for someone like Israel.

It is not possible to effectively respond if the hostages are to be protected. Their presence would effectively disarm the response.
Unfortunately the hostages must be considered as lost/killed in action for their lives become one of the enemy's greatest weapons. Not a nice choice, but there are not many good and easy answers in war.

I'm shocked how many foreigners were in Israel and got caught up in this. These idiots have basically indirectly declared war on half the world with this act of terrorism. Israel, USA, Germany, France, UK, Poland, Thailand, and Philippines from what I've seen so far. I'm sure more will be added once more victims are identified.
