If you watch the video you can clearly hear the rocket screaming through the air before impact. No ordinance dropped from a plane does that.

At least. Cut off. No $, no above the table diplomatic measures. Only TLAMs with some scribbling on them.
Protests/riots have broken out all across the region: West Bank, Beirut, Jordan, Yemen.

What seems like a decent thread for those of you who know this stuff:

Fact check Hamas does possess the capability. The R160 rocket has a 331lb warhead.
The R160 has several warhead types:
High Explosive
Anti-Personal
Armor Piercing
R160 range 150-180km
Maximum flight speed mach 4.2-5.2
The R160 is based on the Syrian M302 which is derived from the Chinese WS-1B rocket.

#BREAKING: Reports suggest that the mass casualty event at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City was the result of a misfired rocket launch by Hamas.
No IDF air activity was reported at the time and the timing coincided with a salvo of rockets launched at Israel.
Reminder: 30-40% of Hamas' rockets misfire and land short in the Gaza Strip.
Friend of mine sent me a WSJ article earlier today settled on Israel had done it because that’s what the article said. This person somewhat keeps up with these things, just not like most of this thread. He’s decently isolationist, America first.
I responded “I’d wait until more comes to light. Hamas could be the culprit or were holed up and/or had a weapons stash there, which is a war crime on their part, for this exact purpose after Israel had given advanced warning to leave the area. There are no good choices in this war.”
Came here to catch up from a busy day at work and this post helped me quickly say and support “told ya”.

@POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate.
Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.
Our govt is very broken

PsyOps or does Hisbollah move now? It's 4 am. it would be the time they move.
I think it is psyops and the tried and true tactic of creating a response to exhaust your enemy with little to no cost.
We'll know over the next 2-4 hrs.

How does one say “Go frick a camel” in Farsi?

At some point we have to quit being everyone’s back up. They need to start taking care of their own business. Bad enough the military industrial complex has rooted themselves deep into D.C.. We need to start worrying about our own country and all the sleeper cells her have let into this country illegally. If shite really hits the fan and we get pulled into another major conflict shitnwont be good. Too many crazies out there now a days that hate Americans. I say let the Middle East and parts of Europe (Ukraine) fight their own wars.
Hate to be this way because I love this country so much! but until the US grows a set of balls and uses them like we did in the past we screwed.

ASM/AGM certainly do but the chances of them being the culprit are very low to nil.
I am dubious that the munitions that hit the hospital was an R160, I think the explosion was too large unless it his a diesel storage tank for the hospital generators but given it was at night it is much harder to gauge the size and you don't have an opportunity to see the smoke which can give an indication of what blew up.
From my POV even if Israel did target the hospital I trust they had a reason to do so and while I understand the propaganda angle and I understand that hospitals are considered "different" if you stand with Israel I don't see much reason to get one's knickers in a knot when they have been leveling residential areas for over a week. While I have sympathy for the innocents (mainly children under 13) the sad fact is Hamas started this particular scenario and they had zero sympathy for the children they killed. No country that goes to war has clean hands when it comes to collateral damage (such a sanitized euphemism) but another's reaction in kind to your actions really is your fault. I do see how people can see it a different way but I am on the side of Israel because I see them as having the moral high ground even if it isn't perfect.

And that would just be another kicking of the can down the road. Israel is a tiny country in a region surrounded by multiple, bigger countries who all want them wiped off the map. This will eventually come to an inevitable head. Israel faces a daily existential crisis, and they have every right to defend themselves to make sure they continue existing. Whether that’s now or they push the can down the road again, it is inevitable. And it will be, unfortunately, very ugly.

Yeah, they can frick right off. If anything, America is not doing enough. Nobody seems to be talking about it, but over 30 American citizens were killed and dozens more taken hostage. Civilians. War crimes. Hamas and Iran declared war on the United States, and that seems to be kinda brushed off. You used to not be able to do that without our thunderous wrath. Of course, you used to not do that at all due to the fear of wrath. Unfortunately, our wrath is not currently feared.

I stand tall in the camp, of believing the country would be better off if the people that think like her were no longer here.

I remember hoping that she was dead just so she wouldn't still be suffering. In the back of that truck her legs were bent at angles that God never intended them to bend.

Lol our leaders have fumbled policy on the Middle East for over 30 years. Curious that you suddenly think anyone, regardless of political color, could handle this problem
Posted on 10/17/23 at 8:41 pm to Craig86
I’m no expert but I can’t see how she lived based on the way her legs were bent and the hole in her head. With the deep fakes these days who knows what evidence her mother was given and If it wasn’t some basement dweller trying to extort her.
