Is she one of those tards that call all Hispanic people Them Mexicans? You should have told her Norway is the little town right outside Lincoln Nebraska, where the CWS is held.

Has she not heard of Tornado Tuesday?

Basically, except that she calls them all “Spanish people” instead.

Ignorance when it comes to basic geography is mind-blowing in this country.

For some reason my Youtube algorithm feeds me these geography quiz videos and I just can't fathom how many seemingly normal people have ZERO clue about the world they live in.

I use navigation almost every time I get in the car going farther than just out to the grocery store and other errands 3-4 miles away. The amount of time (and frustration) I have saved over the last ~20 years of doing it, avoiding traffic jams, construction, blocked roads etc is pretty significant.

Particularly if someone is predicted to be on the right front quadrant of a hurricane, it is a legitimate question, though there is no answer. However, it is unlikely they are astute enough to realize it is a question.

Some people are dumb and/or ignorant, but some people play the part. About 7-8 years ago our office administrator hired a young 20-something as a part time assistant. This woman was OT 9.24 gorgeous. She always had the look in her eyes like she was sharp but always came across dingy and seemed clueless about the world. A few months after her hire, I was in the office talking to the office administrator and noticed an Advanced Linear Algebra textbook sitting on one of the desks. Turns out it was OT9's book, and she was getting a MS in Applied Mathematics. The admin told me she just played dumb; she had a master's in Econ from UNC and was getting the applied math degree before getting her PhD in Econ. A couple of years later she left to go to U of Michigan to work on her PhD.

This happened within the last year-year and a half. I can't remember the exact date, but I know it was less than 2 years ago.

I had to go to someone's house for something and as soon as they opened the door I could smell it. Something was being cooked that smelled horrible. When I asked what the hell they were cooking, he told me his cousin had come down from Kentucky. Instead of going pick up food somewhere his cousin looked around in his freezer to see what he had. He pulled out deer meat dated January 2014. I guess I had a WTF look on my face because he made a comment like "Meat doesn't go bad if you leave it in the freezer".. I asked if he was sure about that. He then says something like "It didn't smell bad or anything, there was an area that looked like freezer burn, but he cut that off".

I told him that I thought.. and I wasn't 100% sure, but its not a good idea to keep deer meat (or really any type of meat) for more than 5 years... at the most. I actually went to his outside porch because it was smokey in there and it really smelled bad, but he goes tell his cousin that I said that meat was too old and that you shouldn't keep meat in the freezer for longer than 5 years. His cousin told him "if its in the freezer its good" and tells him something about one of his friends always goes to his parents house and take out meat in their freezer that he knows they will never do anything with and that they have meat in there much older than 2014. I made some comment like "I wish someone would invent something where you can quickly look up information. For example, right now we could just type in "does deer meat go bad if in the freezer for so long?" and it would give us information on how long the meat can stay in the freezer".

I left my phone in my van, which I normally do when I go somewhere I know I will not be at for a long time, but this person tells me "yeah, I guess I could google it, but I will do it later if I think about it". So I get back to my phone, search it and then text him the results and he replies about 15-20 mins with "that information isn't always right". I just replied back "you have a point". This person isn't as stupid as this guy you work with, but there are some areas that can make you question everything else about him

Google maps actively tracks traffic conditions. Even if you know the way, it can save time rerouting d/t congestion.

We usually turn CarPlay mapping on locally, just because it might give an alternate route in case of bad traffic. Though to be fair, since a lot of people do the same if usually only saves a few minutes.

Hurricanes often spawn tornados, so that question isn’t totally out of line.

Properly wrap something and put it in a freezer it can last a long time, just not “forever”.

Calling Shogun Chinese food is silly, but people eat Americanized Chinese food and think it’s 100% authentic.

I’m sure if we asked your co-worker she’d probably come up with something stupid you or another co-worker said.

Most of that just seems to be a normal level of dumb. I had a friend recently who insisted that if the United States was turning 250 then no cities in the US could be older than that.

Stupid? yes. Also, there is a 1,0000% chance she’s a staunch Democrat voter.

Do you even freezer burn bro?

But yes, he sounds rather….sheltered. Take him under your wing and give him half your paycheck (if he’s of African descent) as reparations for your cruelty whitey

Women can be dumb in life and still survive relatively OK. Why?

Pussy is undefeated.
