Is there anything more invigorating then stepping in a pile of red ants to start the day?

Went out to water the plants early before the sun comes up and those bastards built a ant pile right where i walk to water. Didnt know they were there until the first few bites because it was dark. I hate mosquitoes more but mornings like this make me want to put them back at number 1 .Now the next few days will consist of me scratching both legs but i do have a bag of red ant killer and i will exact my revenge in an hour or two.
Anyone else have any fun stories with these little cuties ?

I think Mentos are pretty invigorating.

Did you know they actually sting? They’ll bite to grab hold, then sting like a wasp or hornet. I only know this because my brothers are very into nature.
My next door neighbor’s kid when I was around 6 or so convinced me to step in a pile because I didn’t know better. This was back when I growing up, when I lived in Alabama. Very shitty thing to do, but his older brother was a douche canoe to him, so I saw where it came from and their biological father was killed by lightning while hunting. They had it rougher than I did at end of day

The back yard of the house where my grandparents lived in the mid ‘70s sloped sharply down to a lake. My older sister and I would roll down that hill over and over again when we visited to see who could get to the bottom first.
On one occasion when I was four or five, I rolled face-first into an ant pile and didn’t realize it. I sat up and wiped away what I thought was pine straw from my face. Then I looked at my older sister and saw her eyes get really wide as her mouth dropped open.
Then the ants started stinging me. I had them in my mouth, nose, and ears. I started screaming and my mom lost her mind. They brought me to the hospital and had to flush my sinuses and ear canals to get them all out.

You have found THE alternative to coffee in the morning.

Try popping open a water meter pit lid out on a horse farm yesterday to find an active wasp nest attached to the under side of the lid as you lift it off.
Good times

All I can say is that my first truly BAD experience with those little, red f***ers came from unwisely placing an M-80 in a large hill of fire ants and touching off the fuse. (I did not get NEARLY far enough away before it went boom, and the ants that landed on me were sorely displeased with my actions.)

Laid down in a bed doing warm-up exercises for Jr. High football with full pads on.
Couldn't see the bed. We were practicing in the baseball outfield, small bed with cut grass covering it.

I was with a group of guys and girls at a Allman Brothers concert in Atlanta. One of the girls had to pee and the line for the port o jons were ten deep, so she pulled up in a pile of tall grass behind a few cars. Well, she squatted down and then started screaming. She stepped in an ant pile and before she knew it there were all up her exposed legs and...We had to convince her to go to the first aid due to embarrassment, but she was glad she did. They let her shower off etc. She did not attend the show.

Worst part is they like give a signal to all start biting once all are in place...

Pretty sure I'd set the long jump world record .002 seconds after finding that

If fire ants don’t light your fire, then your wood’s wet. Nasty little devils.
