If they put one off 49 in Carencro it would kill. People on I-10 will drive a few miles out of their way.

Decently populated, now, but turns to two lane at Love's #2, or whatever it is now.

Two pages and nobody's said it, so I'll throw Bawcomville's hat in the ring.

But I-12 should be I-10 anyways and I-10 should be a 3 digit route.

They threw New Orleans a bone and let I-10 go through there instead.

NOLA I-10 was there first though

It’s crazy that Louisiana doesn’t have a Bucee’s. I know Rustin is getting one soon, but I was wondering if any other place in Louisiana could support one. Maybe Covington or Hammond on I-12? Maybe Houma-Thibodaux on Hwy 90?

It’s not about the local town supporting one. Their business model is through traffic. They prefer rural areas anyway. I-49 will never have one because there isn’t enough traffic.

I-12 in the Robert area would ideal. Away from the city but a ton of traffic.

Correct.
I-5 in California doesn't go through San Francisco, but goes through Sacramento instead.
I-90 doesn't veer North to include Detroit.
The I-12 thing never made sense to me and ultimately wasted a future interstate number.

Buc-ees seems to be expanding beyond Texas based on travelers in the Southeast going to the Redneck Riviera and to a lesser extent East Tennessee. The Ruston location will catch people from Dallas/Shreveport heading to the beach. Same could be said for an I-10 location between Lake Charles and New Orleans. Doesn't make sense to me to put one anywhere else in Louisiana IMO.

People driving any other road would be too pissed about navigating speed traps/getting tickets in some shite hole that can't generate actual revenue to stop and get a brisket taco.

On the back road in Galliano. Near Walmart/Spahrs area.

Would kill with the baws either going to Grand Isle to fish or Fourchon to work.

Think about the typical employee that you encounter at any Buccees in Texas. Now think about the typical employee that you encounter in a fast-food, quick-service, or retail business in Louisiana. Buccee’s is having to go all the way to Ruston to find employees in Louisiana that won’t destroy their business reputation.
