I've ordered tons of stuff from Amazon without any problem. Received a package yesterday (a Christmas gift for my niece) and it looked like someone literally stepped on the box of the product and then shipped it. The shipping box was fine, but the product box top was smashed in.

Now that said, Amazon is sending me a new product for today and I will ship back the other box at no charge, so their customer service is second to none.

It definitely is for me. Two day delivery has been very hit or miss and the price savings haven't been as great as in years past. I recently ordered a product from Newegg.com. It was $60 cheaper than Amazon (Walmart was $40 cheaper) nor was I charged tax or shipping costs AND it arrived within two days on just their standard shipping option.

Like others have said, I find myself using Amazon more and more as a way to get the stores in town to price match.

You serious Clark? You know it’s almost 2018?

Was thinking the same. Pretty easy to Photoshop an Amazon add before printing it.

Companies are adjusting to Amazon’s market. Still great to have by it forces other companies to be better and lower prices

Very true. And, they typically won’t match third party sellers so that’s another knock on that method. I just pull it up on the app and have had success at Best Buy, petco for dog food price matching, etc.

No. Other than buying Magellan brand clothing at Academy, I buy almost everything via Amazon. They’re about to build a massive distribution center here in Memphis just south of the airport as well. Will create a few thousand jobs and increase the amount of freight moving thru Memphis by millions of lbs a year. Great news for all of us in the Logistics business.

I buy from Amazon and don't mind paying the tax.
The convenience of home delivery far exceeds having to drive around BR.

I used to buy big things on Amazon but now that they charge tax

They only charge tax if it's sold by Amazon itself. Third party sellers don't charge tax.

I still buy a ton from Amazon but not everything. I use the Amazon Chase which gives 5% off every order.

If something is cheaper elsewhere, I get it elsewhere if it's not too inconvenient. But Amazon's delivery and customer service are the best.

Haven't had any issues with Prime. UPS is good. USPS is total dogshit.

and their deliveries are not as predictable

I'm only having problems when they use UPS.

For example, I live in San Jose. I ordered a couple HP printer cartridges on Wed for a two day delivery on Friday. When I tracked the package on Friday, it said that it had gone from Fresno, to Oakland, and then all the way to Kentucky, and was at that particular time in Illinois.
Still haven't gotten it, and it's not supposed to be here until Tuesday now.

Had UPS twice the week of Thanksgiving say they tried to deliver a package but no one was home, when actully two people were at the house all day and no one ever rang the bell or knocked.

I’ve found plenty of electronics on Amazon and then just went to Best Buy and had them price match. Easier to return if something goes wrong.

Amazon’s customer service is the GOAT though. 9/10 times they will resend a package and/or issue full refund. No questions asked.

I know that Amazon is trying to cut out UPS/FedEx/USPS entirely right now

I wouldn't believe all of that. They are increasing their delivery but they will never move away from UPS/Fed Ex/USPS entirely. It's done for leveraging costs and keeps Amazon from being at the mercy of any one union.

Less often than I used to. It's basically equal to Ebay "buy it now"

The store can call up the ASIN on their own computer and confirm.

My wife loves buying stuff online. It’s scary how much shite she can buy in just a few minutes on her phone. Much of it is from amazon. I still prefer to buy from a store.

Nah I love amazon. When I lived in Dallas I could order and have it delivered same day before I got home from work. Amazon prime video and music unlimited are awesome as well.

I shop on Amazon, even use the scan tool inside Amazon's app when shopping In a brick and mortar store then add everything to my shopping cart. But I don't buy there.

The go to google.com, click shopping, sort by price and save hundreds.

I only use Amazon for the shopping cart to save a list of things I need to buy.
