I am thinking of cancelling my prime account.
I've thought about it but I use the unlimited photo storage, music, and movies too much. I don't shop as much on it though and use Jet, Walmart, BestBuy, etc now for shopping.

Is jet still a third party site? I had to return something through there once and it was a fiasco. Other than that no complaints.

Jet is owned by Wal Mart now and so is Hay Needle.

No. Occasionally something arrives a day or two late, but rarely do I need it on the day it was promised. Rarely as in never. And I’d have to pay tax at any store as well. And Amazon is generally cheaper.

And most of all, it keeps my interaction with other humans to a bare minimum. People with Social Anxiety Disorder will always keep Amazon in business.

I have been using Amazon for what seems like forever. I've purchased less and less from Amazon each year -- mainly due to just buying less stuff. Also, if I'm making a big purchase like a TV, I will be scoping slickdeals.net for months until I find the best deal.

Also, not a fan of how Amazon treats their workers. Their warehouse workers are basically working in sweatshop conditions

Two biggest failures I see. Rapid use of USPS producing very bad shipping. I get maybe maybe 10% of my orders on time if they come USPS.

Use of third party sellers who are overpricing items over MSRP producing unreliable pricing.

The services offered with Prime are great though imo

I live in a pretty big city and the USPS deliveries are consistently late

I know that Amazon is trying to cut out UPS/FedEx/USPS entirely right now

Stop using it all you want, but cancelling prime is dumb. Literally pays for itself after buying a few items and getting shows yo watch free on Amazon smart tv app.

Of course I shop local when I need it quicker

I am in Nashville frequently and this two hour pick up thing is really big there. Kroger has a store near where I stay and I saw 8 cars picking up orders at their sidewalk pickup spot. It's easy to see how people would order food and pick it up on their way home from work.

I know a lot of people love this but I like to pick out my groceries. Toilet papers and toothpaste would be ok

I'm using others more and more. I don't mind the tax as I never bought from Amazon because of the taxes. However, their service is slowing down and the others are catching up. I just used the pick up option at Walmart. Ordered a black Friday sale item that was out of stock on Black Friday, they kept price and it arrived at Walmart for pickup on the following Wed. That is good enough for me. I was ordering my dog food for awhile on Amazon. Now Petsmart is real close to it on price. So I pay online and in two hours, my order is ready at Petsmart. Better service than the big A.

I think their competitors are starting to catch up more and more.

80% of Christmans shite bought off Amazon and I usually have an order of multiple items twice a month. I've had one bad experience with sizing, it was returned and they got it right.

I havent been in a Wal Mart in over 3 years.

People who obsess over Amazon are strange. I buy stuff there every once in awhile but it's not the center of my life.

What I'm saying is that there was no "shine" to come off. I use it when it's convenient, and I use other services when they're more convenient.
