Is CBD the new snake oil? Seems sketch

There are some people who swear by this for pain relief. I’m just wondering- now stay with me here- if it were a cure all, big pharma would have scooped this up by now and made it a Rx.
Now I see they out here peddling this as anxiety relievers for dogs.
I don’t know the science but the people peddling it seem pretty sketch. I asked one, would you fail a drug test for the THC content at .3% and they just responded “possibly”. I said “I could possibly fail if I smoke weed. Seems like the better alternative.”
Anybody have experience with this stuff?

I think there are some people who have more sensitive receptors to it making it more effective for them, while others are not sensitive to it.
For me, it does nothing, but others swear by it.

I have taken it. The stuff is really weak. Seemed to make me relax a bit and go to sleep slightly easier. Definitely not for any real pain though.

Yes it really works but not the shite you get in gas stations bc it’s too weak (75mg at best).
I make my own for my dog at 1500mg.
It’s too easy to make for a Pharma company to RX it and it’s too cheap for them to make money, that’s why there’s no research behind it.

It's basically like drinking an O'doul's. Just take a medicinal gummy. They are far more effective.

For someone who suffers from high anxiety in certain situations, but in situation where they still need to be active and alert, do you think it’s effective enough that could at least help give a calmness?

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

this is the same for me. I do not recommend if you are in real pain. Relaxes me like a shot and a beer.

for some that's the point. CBD is not psychoactive like THC so there is no head high from it. There's also no risk of paranoia like some get with THC. There are pros and cons to both.
