re: Would you rather an LSU home playoff game next year or a first round bye?
Posted by Chanman8 on 1/5/24 at 9:24 am
top seeds are screwed out of a home playoff game
It's not a normal home game. Ticket sales are run by the CFP and will be distributed like a bowl game. The money is not great enough to offset the advantage of automatically making the quarter finals. Also only conference champions w...

the expansion rules state that only conference champions get a bye. Pac-12 is gone so there are only 4 major conferences. Only complaints can come from conference championsh...

UCLA- home and home
Clemson- home and home
ASU- home and home
Utah- home and home
Oklahoma- home and home (canceled b/c conference switch)
USC- neutral
FSU- 2 neutral
Houston- neutral
Not a fan of the neutral games either but this is not going to happen
It's already happening.
UCLA is a home and home, Texas was supposed to be a H&H, Clemson, OU, Arizona State, & Utah are all scheduled H&H. OU will be in SEC by then so idk how that works. FSU next year in Orlando...

But we lose a home game. 100k tickets at $50 is $5mil. FSU game would sell for ~$100/ticket probably $125, then we get concession sales etc... ...
re: What's the difference between LSU and USCw?
Posted by Chanman8 on 9/2/22 at 9:25 am
What am I missing?
USC won the transfer market. They got the Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison and QB Caleb Williams. Those 2 in Riley's scheme can easily win 10+ games in the PAC-12 despite a poor defense. They go 7-5 in the SEC west, but they don't play in the SEC west...LSU does t...
cyril grayson, did he play one snap in a game?
no, he was a track guy. NCAA won't allow minor sport scholarship athletes play major sports b/c it has the potential to be abused. Wouldn't count as part of the 85 or 25 in a class, of course it would be abused....

The MAC is the worst group of 5 conference year in year out.
Even if 1 and 2 happened, you wouldn't spread it to anyone in the stadium. More than likely you wouldn't pick it up at the tailgate unless you were sharing a bowl with a feverish and coughing group of people in a tent.

so why have the stadium restrictions to begin with?...
