Use the height of the bow railing to estimate length of the boat...maybe the size of an oil industry crew boat.

That's a lot of people not to mention howevermany survived.

And, it's not that big a boat, and the attack wasn't good enough to sink it?

That's an Iranian Navy ship? It looks like a barge that they mounted a couple deck guns on.

It may have had a dummy warhead. The missile propellant may have ignited the ship.

I recall that happened during the Falklands War. One of the British ships that got hit burned because of the Exocet's propellant. The warhead didn't explode.

In their domestic media they will, they'll say it happened because of threats from the US or spin it that way somehow. Iranian media reported that the missiles they fired at al-Assad AB in western Iraq killed a lot of soldiers. They also used the news articles here about a lot of them having TBI and other head injury to tell their public that the weapons may not have killed all of them but that hundreds were rendered basically vegetative.

Fair assessment, but let's be honest here, it's not like this has never happened to any U.S. forces over the years.

Friendly fire has killed many U.S. servicemen and women, but you probably won't hear about most of it.
