Yep, and intentionally lying about facts.

The medians are a shitshow which isn’t a surprised but the entire purpose of the project was the slow down traffic for local businesses and increase foot/bike traffic. If you are just commuting across town you should be using north

Did they blame it on racism? Clearing the driver hit him because he was black.. Right?

No, but they are claiming that the car “drove away without helping”. If so, stain on the driver even though the kid was flagrantly at fault. On the other hand, if the kids took off and that’s a lie, then double frick her. I’d like to see the video continue.

If the driver would’ve stopped the other kid would’ve attacked
Plus it’s government street. I never drive there even in the daylight but if I had a flat on government I’d keep driving until I was in the safe part of town

Sorry ED, I worked on Govt for many years and detest the crap they’ve done.
With your flawed reasoning why not do the same to Plank Rd., Florida or any other street. Just think of the economic & road safety boost.

The driver is not even visible from the camera angle shown.
The fact that the driver was coming from the direction of North Baton Rouge, makes me question whether or not the driver was white. If they didn't stop, chances are better than good that they didn't have insurance.
Statistically speaking given the direction they were coming from, and our population demographic, the chances are also pretty good that it may have been a black driver.

I’m now retired and don’t have to drive that. I hope you enjoy the traffic everyday.

There is rarely heavy traffic on Government outside of the beginning/end of school. But that was the case before they redid the infrastructure.

It’s actually not bad at all outside of BRHS/CHS and Mercy traffic.
The landscaping is horrific. Won’t excuse that.

Unless you’re a Geezer like me to recall.
Government St was a 2 lane w/diagonal parking both sides. The state changed it to four lanes. To allow traffic as the burbs’ developed. That killed every small business quickly and the “corner” stores & Western Auto died slowly because of lack ofparking.
Some things just seem new. Stores without parking are not easy. 2 lane or 4 lane. But open a tavern it makes everything better. My initial comment leaned into bike lanes and alchol. Lots of white ghost bikes about.

So the driver turning west on government has the right away right? The west bound traffic has a red light? If so, the kids on bikes would have to abide by that.. Right? I am asking right because I am not 100% sure. I hate when kids who are old enough to know better gets in an accident for something stupid they did and people will say "they just kids". You are a kid until 9, then its preteens, teens, adults. They are older than 9, at least it appears that way.. So if your kids are going to be out and about, teach them the rules they need to follow.
