Nitro Cold Brew is a top 5 favourite thing in my life.

Overall Cold Brew Dominance: Cold drinks, like cold brew and Nitro Cold Brew, are major money-makers for Starbucks, accounting for a huge majority (around 75%) of their total beverage sales in the United States. This indicates a massive shift in customer preference, particularly among younger drinkers (Gen Z and Millennials).
?A Top Seller: The Nitro Cold Brew, especially variations like the Nitro Cold Brew with Sweet Cream, is frequently listed among Starbucks' top-selling, most popular drinks.
?Market Growth: Nitro coffee itself is a rapidly growing segment globally, expected to see substantial market expansion. Consumers are drawn to its unique characteristics.
?The Vibe: The nitrogen infusion gives the drink a super-smooth, velvety texture and a naturally sweet flavour, often served without ice. This creamy texture and cascading look make it a very desirable and "Insta-worthy" premium beverage.

I think Europeans drink a lot of instant coffee. So that should tell you what you need to know.

I've never had it... I'm pretty basic with my coffee though- like really basic.

I use an old school drip coffee pot and will never change.
Explain what an old school drip coffee pot is to you. Is it this
or this, like I remember from my Nanan's kitchen in the 60s

The participants were paid testers because there is absolutely no way.

I see where they went wrong. They followed the directions on the package.
This test also reinforces the idea that most coffee drinkers don't actually like coffee. That's why the smoother, less acidic, less complex instant coffee wins a popularity contest.

Mount Hagen in a backpacking trip is the best coffee I’ve ever drunk anywhere. It’s just because everything tastes better backpacking in the mountains bc you’re starving.

I do drip coffee with whole beans ground fresh at home, but instant coffee at work. Instant coffee is better than the coffee provided in the office.
I like the Supreme Bustelo instant I've only found in Target.

Percolator > French Press > Drip > …Instant
Drip is IMO the best balance of flavor, efficiency, and economy.
I prefer percolator, but it uses a lot more coffee.

You don't have any instant coffee? Who doesn't have instant coffee?
You buy a jar of Folger's crystals, you put it in the cupboard, you forget about it. Then later on when you need it, it's there. It lasts forever. It's freeze-dried.

I don’t think so.
But I don’t mind what would be the instant cold brew. That’s probably made from a slow drip and you are then just adding ice and water to it.

This test was conducted by culinary and sensory scientists at the Drexel Food Lab, based at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Unless they're flying Europeans into Pennsylvania, it looks like the participants were Americans.

Never got into daily coffee, I would see Italians in Italy hit up two shots of espresso after an all nigher at the club and go to work. I prefer tea.

It seems like they chose a single drip brand and compared it to the top instants. Did I read that wrong?

I love me some bustelo. I was in a rush and threw some reg brick in some hot water and slugged it down. Felt like Speedy Gonzalez all day

Yep. That's an old thing people used to do, basically steep an entire pound of coffee in about 1 gallon of cold water overnight and end up with a concentrated liquid that was called coffee essence. Then, use a teaspoon of that liquid in hot water and end up with pretty darn good coffee. Not at all like traditional instant coffee.
People still do it: it’s literally called “cold brew”

Seems all I see on my Europe trips is espresso--not saying they don't drink instant but I haven't seen it. They take pride in their coffee there. After going there we moved to this at home. We grind our own beans and use the Bialetti Mocha Pot. Strong shite, but great.
