Angelina Jolie moved into the grand Cecil B. DeMille estate in 2017 — shortly after her split from Brad Pitt. But in no way did she predict she would end up spending as much time as she has in the home until the pandemic hit.

In an interview with Vogue UK, Jolie, 45, explains how being in the six-bedroom, 10-bathroom Italianate Revival villa with her children — despite its beauty — has been difficult. “I was never very good at sitting still,” Jolie said. “Even though I wanted to have many children and be a mom, I always imagined it kind of like Jane Goodall, traveling in the middle of the jungle somewhere. I didn’t imagine it in that true, traditional sense. I feel like I’m lacking in all the skills to be a traditional stay-at-home mom.”

The “Wanted” star bought the Los Feliz home for a whopping $24.95 million. Sitting on 2.1 elevated acres, the 7,500-square-foot main house recently underwent a six-year renovation and restoration. The estate holds a state-of-the-art gym, a spacious library with custom floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and an expansive patio.

Hold up, doesn't she have lots of adopted black children?
I know what she's trying to say, but cancel culture may come for her with that statement. Jane Goodall? Couldn't find a better comparison?

It must take 5 minutes for the servants to get to the big house when they are summoned from their residence. I can see how that would take its toll.

Also:
I assume this means that a nanny basically mothers her children so she doesn't have to, and Covid has made her have to be a "traditional" mother who stays home and takes care of her kids?
What a fricking weirdo.

I mean, I sort of took it as a valid point in that, no matter how lavish your surroundings, being stuck in one place basically for months on end is going to tiresome and weigh on people.

And here I thought I had it bad.
Prayers sent.

I'm literally shaking.
How could someone endure such sub-human conditions?
Is there a gofundme we can donate to in order to get her some essentials like an outdoor wood fired pizza oven or a 6 story climbing wall/repelling tower?

The “Wanted” star
The last movie I got up and walked out on. When they got to the part about the "loom of fate," I was done.
How about "Girl Interrupted?" She actually won an Oscar for that.
