quote:M.C. v. Ind. Dep't of Child Servs. (In re A.C.)
The evidence in support of the Dispositional Order shows that on May 11, 2021, DCS received a report alleging that Mother was verbally and emotionally abusing then-sixteen-year-old Child by using rude and demeaning language toward Child regarding Child's transgender identity, and as a result, Child had thoughts of self-harm. Appellants' App. Vol. 2 at 13-14. On May 21, 2021, DCS received a second report alleging that the Parents were verbally and emotionally abusing Child because they do not accept Child's transgender identity, the abuse was getting worse, and the Parents were being mean to Child due to Child's transgender identity. A DCS family case manager (FCM) investigated these reports, met with the Parents, Child, and Child's siblings, and spoke by phone to a representative from Child's residential school.
At 16, the child is eligible to seek emancipation. (Ind. Code § 31-34-20-6)

This is true in all 50 states. Even in rural counties/parishes. If a threat is deemed as 'credible' which is a very low bar today then CPS will take the kid for psychological evaluation and depending on the leanings of the psych and case worker it can lead to months of therapy and an open CPS case, even if the child says "I was just venting, I want to go home." I have seen it when a child of some good friends of mine got upset over something and threatened this in a message and snap story to get attention from friends and throw a 'woe is me' pity party. Friends showed to parent, parent called CPS, kid was picked up at school the next day, and parents found out after the child was already in state care. This was probably a year ago in a rural/red county and it took weeks for them to get their child back and they still get pop-in visits from CPS.
Yea it’s fricked up.
It’s one of those things that you want to take seriously because the potential consequences are as serious as it gets, but there’s no denying that it can be abused easily by a angsty teen lashing out. And if the wrong people hear type of stuff they are duty bound to report. And once it’s reported that a whole world of shite to deal with even if the kid “recants”
Downvote away but based on the info in this thread this seems like a “died with covid” story.
The kid was removed while claiming to be a tranny, not removed because they were claiming to be a tranny.

watch Take Care of Maya on Netflix-its alarming how much power the state has over children.

Nationwide, child welfare practices have become more cautious about removing a child from home, recognizing the risk inherent in that needs to be balanced against the risk of harm.
This is astonishing. I’ll be checking out the authorities cited by litigants & court.

Abuse and disorder were called in by the school because they made comments about killing themselves or not wanting to live. Court orders therapy.
Was more than one kid involved?

fricking heinous.
This is how they work. War on your children.

Seems the child was removed due to abuse/eating disorder more than the trans thing, but that would be harder to claim victimhood over.
To be fair, the real issue of mental health still exists. That's the bigger issue being ignored by the parents/state, and there is a valid victim there.

If these maniacs keep pushing this Leftist insanity, some very good people will soon be doing some very bad things.
Not endorsing it, just sayin'.....

We have a "they/them" chick at work. It really is depressing. I knew I hated that shite even when it was an abstract concept. Now that my colleagues and I are forced to participate in this farce, I hate it so much more than I could ever have anticipated. We're paid above market, and given "golden handcuff" compensation plans, because the company is a lucrative shitshow in so many ways, but this "they/them" crap is really trying me.
I guess maybe there's some wiggle room to at least get "them" reassigned far, far away from me, but more likely than that is just continued alcoholism on my part as I deal with "them" until enough of my stock awards vest to justify hauling arse. And it's all just because some young, naive chick (who I actually feel somewhat sorry for) wants attention.

because they stopped taking the kid to court ordered therapy and withdrew him from school
Likely the therapist was gender affirming, meaning he/she had no interest in helping the boy's gender dysphoria.

They would never dream of "removing the child" if the parents were muslims. Nope. Wouldn't happen.
I agree with the poster above...there would be bloodshed.

I enjoy seeing all the people here claiming victimhood while ignoring facts.
I'm sure people will downvote and scream all sorts of names, but whatever. Everyone wants to pretend to be a victim rather than dealing with reality and our own shortcomings as people.
No wonder the government regularly screws us over so easily. They do it then we blame whoever is opposite us so we feel better about it.

They going to fire you over not using they/them pronouns for someone?
I'd just never talk to her. I'd ignore her entire existence. She'd be like Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense. I'd pretend I can't even see her when she is next to me and deaf if she tries to speak to me.

The first time your kid comes home with thoughts of being trans is when you take the cell phone with the tiktok away, pull them out of their school, and home school until they are cured.
