Eh, 1.03% of the US identifies as trans. Unless there is some massive jumps in the next few years, I don't see them as bringing down the US. They are a very small minority that politicians can use as a boogie man to blame your problems on.

I doubt they'd fire me, exactly, but I'm not an "individual contributor" here. I am expected to get certain very specific, technical things done, on time, and "they" have a non-avoidable role in doing that. I can't do the Bruce Willis thing.
Could I just snap my fingers and fire her? No; there are people for whom that's true, but she is not one of those people. (Working on that was already a career priority for me.)
It really is a difficult situation. In the pre-Covid world, maybe I would have tried to impress upon this employee how stupid this "they/them" thing is... gradually. Over Zoom, I just don't think that's possible.

Maybe I'm wrong, but is there examples in history of such a small portion of a population caused a collapse in society?
It's not like trans people have been slipping into high ranking positions across multiple layers of government or corporations slowly and forcing out other groups of people.
Heck I feel like a lot of the damage done in the name of the trans community is white people with a guilt complex.

Not sure how I wound up down that rabbit hole but kinda wish I hadn’t. I had always thought it was bad governance, hyperinflation, etc. but there was more to it. Trans movement, prostitution, pedophilia lotta wild shite going on in Weimar.
