Just turned 62 and yeah, I've slowed down. However, I REALLY slow down if I don't exercise vigorously 4-5 times a week. I've cut back to just drinking on the weekends. Rarely use caffeine so can't recommend that. And yeah, no fastfood / pop / chips and focus on the proteins.
To your point, with young kids, when do you work out? If you can't do it in the evenings, then you have to get up earlier and do it first thing. Just a few weights and running (or an exercise bike, etc.) altogether for 45 mins will make a world of difference in your energy level. Plus if your kids see how important it is to you, they will mimic you ultimately.
Now go get started tomorrow and bump this thread back up in a couple of months to tell us how much better you feel.
-----------------------------------------------
So you are really looking for supplement advice? Or a drug or some such?
Yeah, If you don't do it the old fashioned way through effort and sacrifice, you will end up no better off than you are now. There's no magic potion.

You just gotta do it man. It sucks but it’s the only option. And try this before you get on any hormone therapy even if you’re a little low. I changed my routine and diet and my T levels went from a but low to quite a bit above average for my age.

Go to bed at 9pm.
Fet rid of TV and phone in the bedroom
Get a window AC set on 65.
Get rid of refined sugar.
Start supplements especially vitamin B12 and D.
Get hormones checked. TSH, T4, Free T4, E2 and Vitamin D.
Ditch the simple carbs. Whatever you are eating cut in half at least.
Get to gym if nothing to at least walk. Start lifting even if it's the bar.
If you are too self conscious to start begin at home with air squats. Proper lunges (looks them up), planks, and push ups. A lot of them.
Core work and heavy weights will jack your testosterone assuming you don't have some underlying testicular failure or feedback from the Thyroid.

I'm 39 and slowing down

Testosterone. It works. Have your levels tested
True but honestly at 39 eating better and working out should naturally boost T levels in a couple months

You need some Adderall and TRT, son

If you get back in the gym and lift weights 3-5 times a week I can promise you will have more energy

Getting out of bed in the morning is pure torture

Like others said. Get your testosterone checked. If you are under 450, you should get injections. Oral T , creams and gels don't work.
Get up at 5 and go lift 4-5 times a week.
I'm about to turn 50 and I feel damn good.
If you are not sleeping....ambien helps. Trazadone helps lots of people, but it makes me feel like a zombie.
Try to find a provider who actually gives a shite and will work with you.
But seriously, get up at 5 and go lift some weights.

Get your PSA levels checked.

Sounds like a good long walk in the evenings would do you a lot of good.

Go in the morning. Even if you have to get up at 0400. Get it out of the way, then let the rest of the day fall how it falls.

Not even close to the only option.. personally going to the gym bores me to tears.. you could join a rec basketball league, pickleball, run a few miles at the park.. hell, even doing calisthenics and walking briskly 45 min per day will make a big difference .
Im not saying going to the gym is a bad idea, but it’s far from the only option .

Don't be pissed, but shoot for 180 pounds if you're an old.
