I have been married twice. Both, lovely ladies with kind hearts and meaningful intentions. But.....if I had it to do over again, I would swallow those words you are about to speak. You don't have to do it. Not doing will not limit you in any way. IF you decide to have children, that will permanently tie you to her for life emotionally and metaphorically even if you eventually decide to not live together.

Boat, you know me. You remember Mrs. Melvin. Trust me, marriage is awful. The only thing worse is divorce. You love her for who she is right now, and she is about to change...a lot. She thinks she loves you for who she thinks you could become, but she fell for who you were when she met you. She will meddle and mold you until you aren’t that person any more, and then she will wonder why she doesn’t love the man you are now. It’s a trap that’s a no/win solution.
