If your wedding was at Oak Alley or another plantation you are racist

Tear them down!

I saw that on the news. That’s why I got married at the Elvis Chapel in Vegas.

Weddings not in churches or centers of worship, IMO, are below a level of distinction.
I have always thought weddings at plantations were odd given the history of those anti-human institutions.

Why not turn places of evil into places of good? Is that not progress?

The "wedding industry" isn't promoting it. People don't need to. The houses and grounds are for the most part objectively beautiful, and already have the layout for entertaining tons of guests. It's a pretty natural fit to host weddings there.
No one is celebrating slavery by hosting their wedding there. Someone who isn't constantly melting about negative things that happened in the past at a certain location isn't a racist shithead either.

So nobody should get married on southern soil at all then.

Ban trees for their complicity in the hanging of thousands of slaves

I think continuing to host events at those places gives more opportunities to educate people and add context to their understanding of the history.
Turning away from them for events doesn’t erase history or make amends, so why not use the platform for edification?

Or use the platform to serve good drinks.

What about the black women I know that planned their weddings at some of these places themselves? What does this make them?

They won't be happy until they destroy every single American historical figure prior to the civil war because....sins.

He's quickly become my second least favorite poster on this site with his stupid "Top 10" schtick.
