I hear Pecan Island is really frickin nice. Low crime rate, lots of organic fresh produce and game, thriving bar/night life scene, lots of extracurricular activities, uncrowded school(s?), rustic Louisiana views, friendly neighbors, abundant wildlife...

I'd live in BR over Alexandria by a mile

Mandeville/Covington or I would leave. Once you leave you’ll never go back except to visit family for holidays

I like Baton Rouge It'll be nice to see whiney little bitches like you GTFO. Hope you do it sooner rather than later.
My thoughts exactly. How about you get a job where you don't have to drive in that horrible traffic during rush hours?

That's how I feel, otherwise I would have left a long time ago. As for the people saying Livingston Parish, it's going downhill fast. Watson is becoming more and more inundated with BR types, and Walker is filling up with low income apartments and the typical residents. There's really nowhere around Baton Rouge worth a shite.

Or maybe you just have lower standards than most on here

The north shore has a lot of trash and it's only going to get worse with all the new(ish) apartments

one of the small college towns. Natch, Ruston, etc. Good schools, good communities. Low crime. Good "demographics".

^This.... If I had to live in Louisiana, Ruston would be my first choice. Spend quite a bit of time there.

The entire state is a shite stain. Why not pick up and go somewhere else? Leaving for Colorado was the single best decision of my life to this point
