And during the winter you might be able to see the sun for 30m a day. They don't call it Old Blighty for nothing.

Nope.

Every country I can think of where I have known heritage (Australia by way of Scotland, England, Germany, Italy, Ireland) has major issues to where I would want to visit but not stay.

And Scotland in particular is very beautiful… in the summer. I don’t think I would want to be up there in the winter.

The countries behind the privileged access doors are prizes you don’t want to win.

1000% Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Cornwall, Germanic Europe

I'd choose Ireland or Scotland though.

If you've ever been to Europe, you quickly realize the US is lacking in a lot of things.

I’m 90+% Britain and Scandinavian so I’d be OK with swapping.

If you have resources, living in those countries isn’t bad.

Beats about 90+% of other countries of the World.

Once retired, I may stay for extended stretches there & in Germany.

I’ll get back to you all on the subject, God willing.

I've got a lot of French ancestry in me, so the answer is a definitive "Hell No".

I don't smoke, don't particularly care for wine and I'm not one to back down from a fight-------------I just wouldn't fit in.

Cancun and places like it would be an afterthought if not for the regime..

I'm quarter English, quarter Irish, quarter Ukrainian, quarter Polish. I'm completely fine staying in US rest of life. So don't care really.

Felt I was being more specific than just saying Canada which is a giant arse place. I think most here of Cajun descent would get the reference.

Ehh but they came from france to the americas. They werent actually from Canada.

Some of them even went back to france and then some came down here.

No one really has ancestors from here, not even native americans.

The Cubans have no idea what they're missing out on by not having good relations with the U.S. Havana could be the next Cancun if they'd get their politics out of the way.

Yeah, it is a little more complicated than that at this point. The blunders our government made with respect to Cuba are countless. The US embargo on Cuba is cruel and needless, and demonstrative of how little tolerance the US has for communism in this hemisphere.

NYC is one of only 2 or 3 places in the world where I could do exactly what I do and make a good living doing it. And, Brooklyn is a great place to live.

My distant ancestry is Swedish. Sweden's great but it would be hard to leave NY.

Not my ancestry but I lived in Italy for 7 years and could see retiring to a smaller city there.
