My employer and a grant are paying for my masters so I am reluctantly doing it through LSU.

I figure it would be dumb to turn down a free Masters with no obligations on the back end event though I was wanting to wait.

But what if "who you know" is because of attending college?

So the easy answer is Vanderbilt in general but it depends on the masters.

True.

I would have to think some of the masters from Texas A&M Engineering would be good to have.

Master in nursing is probably worth it. I'm not in the medical field but have a lot of friends that are and they tell me nurse anesthetist (that requires a masters degree) do really well.

Why is it number one?

My masters is from LSU. Best investment of time and money I made, though I often wish I went to Law School instead.

My answer is the same as when I actually was shopping around for masters programs..........I will go to whichever school pays for my degree and offers me an assistantship.

Georgia Southern (not SEC) paid more and gave me way more opportunities than LSU or South Carolina. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I need to see those rankings and how an "international MBA" is defined.

Harvard, Stanford, Kellogg, Wharton, Booth, Columbia, and MIT are pretty consistently and nearly universally considered to be the best 7 MBA programs (in some order) in the U.S.

Vanderbilt

That’s widely known, and so this topic will probably not be that triggering.

Moore's International MBA program has been considered #1 since I was in college over 35 year ago. But the question is why.

The ranking services put them there but more importantly the companies that hire for high level jobs hire from there and the other high ranking schools I mentioned. The reason is they are hard to get into, hard to get out with high grades and the graduates tend to fare well in those high level jobs. The degree is short hand for years of stellar work. Different field but my firm hires 90+% of 1st year associates from 12 schools. There are most certainly candidates that went to "lower rank schools" that would do as well (or better) but they are fewer and farther between. It is "safer" to hire from a proven program just like it is safer to buy a product from a long established company known for producing high quality products.

It’s Master’s.

I have one already. I’d get my PhD from Vanderbilt if I wanted. But, I can get one for a lot less than $40k.

Requires a PhD now to be a nurse anesthetist

NP's mostly have master's degrees

But why is USC above the others? Especially considering the reputations of the other institutions. A particular professor, something unique about their program?
