My undergrad was accounting so if I decided to go elsewhere for a masters it would Florida. I do have an MBA but it’s from a Scottish University.

I agree. If you are OK with living in Texas all your life then UT masters as good as it gets.
The same is probably true for every other state though, and their respective state university.

Very uninformed take. Texas has a national and international reputation far beyond any other SEC school. Even if it didn't, the Texas economy is probably larger than any three other SEC states put together, so that would be more opportunity by itself.

Including professional degrees...

Vanderbilt MD
Texas A&M M.Eng
Alabama JD
Auburn DVM

Alabama is an odd pick for best JD in the SEC, if you include Texas they are the 6th most prestigious behind: Vandy, UGA, TAMA, UF, and Texas. I have no idea about the rest of those.

The only reason Vandy is here is because of academics. If I'm looking for the most dough, it's gonna be Vanderbilt and it's not even close.

Is there really debate here? Vandy then Texas for academic prestige, then everyone else.

No went to LSU in the 90s before online existed. In-person classes and seminars worked directly with professors and other graduate students and got to live within waking distance of campus. Great experience.

It seems as though the OT doesn’t agree lol

Because most on the OT don’t even know what that is.

Texas is the highest ranked MBA in the SEC.

And that’s the MBA ranking, which includes a lot of variables that are unrelated to academics (carbon footprint, diversity, %female, etc.).

McCombs as a whole (not the “B-School ranking”, which is just the MBA ranking) is usually Top 5 in the U.S.

Each individual department generally lands Top 5, or Top 10 at the very least.

Acct 1
Mktg 1-3
Analytics 3-5
Etc.

Edit: Downvote if you want. Here are the receipts, dingus.

Undergrad from TAMU and MBA from Rice. Both have served me well. If I had to choose an SEC school for another graduate degree, all rivalries aside, I’d choose TX for reputation alone. Couldn’t care less about athletics when it comes to making a living. Only one thing matters: me.

Ehh What does that mean number 1 intl ? Sounds like some dumb ranking, it’s not even a top 20mba and that’s all that matters

No one in Europe is saying hey we need to go South Carolina get those top grads lol
