You’re a plant operator.

I'm not understanding why you should either

but you apparently do, which is very odd

I watched America in Color on The Smithsonian Channel this weekend and it was incredible. Edison, Ford, Firestone, and the like, all took huge risks which easily could have left them penniless. You have to be willing to put everything on the line to cement a legacy. That is what makes America great

Seems like the younger generation always says this with such conviction and pride when you meet them. Is this just another way of saying, “I don’t make much money, and will be unemployed in 4 months.” ??

So people shouldn’t be proud of their jobs?

Trying to figure out what upsets you about people being happy with their career.

My buddy and his wife in SFO started an AI discovery engine tech startup. They've raised over $21 million in funding from multiple groups since 2017, including Mark Cuban.

Does not apply to them, or other friends of mine that have started their own, or joined on with tech startups. They all make 6-7 figures.

What makes America great is that anyone and everyone is free to risk it all. That’s not the case everywhere and certainly wasn’t the case in the formative years of this country

Sounds like just plain jealousy/penis envy to me.

If you are feeling inferior, perhaps there is something else going on inside of you. Maybe you need to back up and punt 10.

You should feel inferior for constantly lying to strangers on the internet

Every tech start-up thinks they are the next Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Only about 10% make it to a going concern and there are very, very few of those that become $1B companies. Every startup thinks they are going to though and then add to that the fact they have equity instead of salary and everyone you speak of think in 10 years they will be multi millionaires.

Which means they don’t actually make or sell anything. They are however well versed in begging for money.

They do something infinitely more valuable, they mine all of your data and sell it to companies that do sell stuff.

Everything about you is worth way more than a widget.

One can argue in today's climate that personal data is cherished above all.
