Y’all realize the people taking care of the old people make like 8 bucks an hour, don’t wash their hands, don’t go to restaurants and gyms, and also won’t be able to take off work when they get the virus

I know
these half measures are really useless if we only do them for a few weeks, but I just don't see politicians allowing their economies to completely tank
we will have to adjust and I think once testing is really set up, some of this will be relaxed

I have not really talked to anyone who is passionately against the actions being taken. The other day I was told I was acting like a bitch because I was complaining about no sports, but I do realize why the action that is being taken.. Is being taken.

My sources are telling me the coronavirus was supposed to be punishment just to China for creating all the pollution that it does, but it got out of hand.

Our society as we know it would collapse, and that is not hyperbole.
Americans will be frustrated by this in 2-3 more weeks at most and will come to grips with what an acceptable amount of infections and deaths is, with reasonable precautions.

that's the issue
we can run simulations of health-specific conditions all we want, but they don't take into account the economic or social costs involved
you destroy the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in quick succession and grind our economy to a halt and you will get riots. very quickly
