Minimal exercise, don’t drink excessively, don’t smoke, eat some what healthy, annual check up, and most importantly don’t use fentanyl.

Or you could eat healthy, not drink to excess, exercise, avoid being shot, and prove the statistic wrong.you

People are going to tell you to just make better decisions, and I agree with them.

But it's also easier to make better decisions in an environment where others are doing the same.

I am weak-willed when it comes to those decisions. Leaving Louisiana and going somewhere with a better quality of life and getting first hand proof that people are in fact different in other areas was the most beneficial thing to happen for my health.

I think where in TN makes a difference. You are fine where you are, but I saw a study a few years back about respiratory / lung issues in the Tennessee Valley. Between the plateau and the mountains, the wind had to be blowing just right to flush the air/pollutants out of the valley.

My dad and grandad were both healthy as oxes when they died. Unfortunately both had debilitating strokes so their physical physique did nothing but make me sad taking care of them.

I swear my dad didn't lose an ounce of muscle or grow a belly despite being a practical invalid for 10 years.

I can walk past a bakery and gain 10lbs me.

Come on over here to Southeast Asia.. the water is warm, and your American dollar bills go about 10x further than in Louisiana !

I’d rather die early in Louisiana than live longer in Iowa or Ohio.

The OT loves to hate on the fat and the drinkers but I always wonder the last thoughts of the super fit guy who denied himself something tasty all those years.

As he is laying on the ground about to go from the heart attack brought on by jogging in August. He looks up and sees the smiling fat baw in a PFG and holding a Natty Light staring down:

“Well shite…”

Obviously Louisiana isn't far behind but when you read average life expectancy is less than 70 in America in some states even with advanced medicine and online availability for personal health awareness it kinda makes you stop.

Tennessee Valley also has a problem with the disease that comes from Bird Poop Fungus, aka Histoplasmosis.

I'd think that the presence of an endangered male demographic in Memphis might also drive our men's numbers up.

You can add 5 years just by avoiding the Mall of Louisiana and North of Choctaw...
