I just received a $3300 water bill from the City of NO

Last months bill was $266.
What the hell can I do about this. I’m obviously not going to pay them this.

That sucks.
I really, fully believed that the sewage and water board needs to shut down and fire everyone.
Then reincorporate and start over again. Nepotism and decades of ineptitude have ruined that department.
They destroy more than they fix.
They can bill you 20x your normal bill and still shut it off if you don't pay.
My advice, put something heavy over your meter cover. I say this because they will shut you off even though they screwed up.
My water bill in kenner is $45.

Another problem is not everyone is from this area here. So they will think someone actually read your meter. Lol
They rarely rear meters, they make up numbers and charge them.

You got off cheap. Mine was $6500. The incompetence over there is mind boggling.

266 was very high but I have a pool. So sometimes it can get that high.

In BR water, sewage and garbage are combined into a single bill. I just checked my itemized bill - $16 for water, $40 sewage and $20 garbage.

Do you irrigate? If so get your system checked for a leak. Then bring your case before the board to get some kind of resolution on this matter
