"Pasture raised, brown grade A large eggs".

Nowhere on the package does it tell me what kind of egg it is. What species of egg or what sort of animal produced this egg.

What are we to infer from this?

Mork from Ork came from an egg so this is quite possible.

Could be.

It's peculiar to me that the Government does not require egg farmers to explicitly inform the public what of sort of egg we're actually eating.

"He put an egg in my snatch."

"OMG ... pasteurize?"

"No, it only went as far as my cervix."

They are assuming you are smart enough to understand those are chicken eggs. Just like they used to assume you were smart enough not to eat a Tide pod.

The only kind I eat. Milk too. Goes great with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

Interesting observation. If there were anything that looked remotely similar to a chicken egg that were cheaper to produce, I’d say you might be on to something. But there’s not, so you aren’t.

I think you would know if it were an ostrich egg.

I still never understood why we are the only country that refrigerates eggs. Everywhere else in the world they are out on a shelf.
