I still never understood why we are the only country that refrigerates eggs. Everywhere else in the world they are out on a shelf.

Because we wash the eggs here and when you do that the protective cuticle is removed. They will spoil if not refrigerated for this reason.

They are assuming you are smart enough to understand those are chicken eggs. Just like they used to assume you were smart enough not to eat a Tide pod.

Well I hope They're chicken eggs.

Because "egg" farmers wash off the protective coating that keeps them fresh.

Are you taking your seizure meds?

Well it matters because our government, almost on a weekly basis proves to us it cannot be trusted, even with the most basic things.

We're left to assume they're chicken eggs, when maybe the egg itself is so altered and fricked up, that so called "egg farmers" cannot legally refer to them as chicken eggs.

If you had your own chickens and keep the eggs away from chicken feces you wouldn't have to keep them cold... if you wash them you wash off the membrane so you got to keep them in the fridge... washing them makes more sense though... they last over month washed only two or three weeks unwashed

We get ours straight from the chicken's uterus and we don't refrigerate them.

Nowhere on the package does it tell me what kind of egg it is. What species of egg or what sort of animal produced this egg.

My question would be what other egg would be cheap enough to mass produce besides chicken eggs???

Not quite sure how a question about eggs makes one a social justice warrior.

I think he means that the processing of chicken eggs that we do here renders them something that possibly may not be legally allowed to be called a chicken egg.

Which isn't as dumb as speculating whether he's actually being fed platypus eggs, but is surely extremely pendantic.

Well I'm not upset over it.

It's interesting though that this board will readily believe our Government is hiding space aliens from us. Or That our Government is run by a secret cabal of adrenochrome eating, blood drinking billionaire child molesters. Or that our Government has a secret weather control machine somewhere in Alaska (Jesse Ventura).

But for some reason this board won't open its mind to the possibility they're not eating what could be legally defined as a chicken egg?

Do you believe that the eggs are somehow altered or just from an animal other than a chicken?

Well there probably isn't.

I'm simply open to the possibility however that a corporate farmed, governmentally regulated chicken egg is so chemically and/or genetically altered that it can no longer be called a chicken egg and must simply be called an "egg".

This board has asked me to take some pretty long leaps of faith on some pretty whacked out shite. I'm just asking the board in return to consider the possibility that the eggs we're eating aren't the eggs we think they are.

Weird ... I'm reading the update on this thread when I hear a knock on the back office door. Client hands me a dozen yard eggs. This is some Mayberry RFD kind of stuff . I put them on the office train display and took a picture. The white egg on the front row is a giant.

I'm open to the possibility that the egg has been changed in such a way that it no longer meets the legal definition of a "chicken egg".
