Probably a solid edit but I understand

The little one slept through the night at 1-2 months old for whatever reason.

Every time you look at that child you are looking at a miracle. If you forget this, then it gets difficult.

The baby might have reflux. This will cause them to have difficulty sleeping. Ask your doctor.

When they get a few months old, if they keep pulling at their ear, then they are probably teething. This will cause them discomfort and they will cry.

My son was an absolute angel child. Never needed to be rocked, slept like a champ.

We are currently in payback mode with an insane almost 4 year old who will not listen to save his life.

This was my life 3 years ago but had forgotten it happened until I read this post. It gets better and your mind will block it out as soon as possible. It’s the absolute hardest, most important and most rewarding job you’ll ever have.

First child is definitely the worst/most awesome experience. Next kid will be easier, but comes with guilt because the first has the most fondest memories. Those 1st time experiences will be treasured .

You’re doing it backwards. Wear them out during the day, keep them up as long as possible during the day and evening, then put them to bed. Also, watch the diet for gassy foods and keep Mylicon gas drops around. Learn the “bicycle” move to eliminate gas too. Usually was gas pain. It’s been quite few years, but I only remember 1 or 2 nights with both kids where we were up with a crying baby. They slept through the night after a few months other than waking 1 time to be fed.

I have a 19 month old right now. Number three, probably the last child.

Infants are tough, but I will miss having a 19 month old around when I don't anymore. And that's next month.
