I have no idea how people have more than 1 or 2 kids. This newborn crap is insanity.

I swear I love my son. I will sit here, borderline half nuts from lack of sleep soothing this kid...but this little dude goes absolutely insane about 9PM-2AM.

He is fed, changed, soothed, dry, warm...still screams his head off. He had gas drops, crapped his pampers out and still is all upset.

My entire night consists of putting a pacifier in his mouth after he drops it while he screams. Mind you he is dropping it out.

He sleeps most of the day. All we can do since he 4 weeks old. Nights he likes to cause absolute pandemonium.

Ain't no way we have another. F all that noise. People say it gets better but this 1st year drives you absolutely nuts I'm told.

I have two, one that just passed the 1 mark. It is mentally draining. It’s ok to put the baby down and let them cry in their bed for several minutes while you collect yourself. Put the baby down!!!!! You don’t want to lose it and shake the poor thing . Read the baby wise books and try to get them on sleep schedule and good luck. It’s going to be a bitch!!!

The good things in life don’t come easy. Keep at it and realize there’s no love to compare to being a parent. It will get better, fight through it. I’ve been there. There is a light even if it is dim right now.

This kid looks better than the Gerber baby, but broseph, I'm going to tell you thats a stretch. My wife asks me if we lost our minds for doing this.

Three times a week she'll say "Maybe we should have just sponsored a child"

We have some dark humor. Only way we get through this.

I go back and forth on kids

And then I read posts like this or hear someone say something similar and I’m instantly glad I don’t.

Get to 8 weeks and then try a sleep training program. "12 hours by 12 weeks" (title may be slightly off) worked for our first. He was tough the first two months but since then sleeps 12 hours a night no problem and is now almost 3.

My second is 5 weeks old and once again not an easy infant. I'm holding on just trying to get to 8 weeks again but this time I have that ray of hope.

Both of my in-laws first kid have been easy and I get irrationally jealous and pissed hearing about it.
