They better start enforcing some entry requirements or adjusting other ones because there's too many applicants now and they have already run out of room.

And unlike public high schools (see BR Magnet High),
what does this mean? BR Magnet is 60% minority

It used to be more? Isn’t that why magnet programs were put into place? To give the illusion that the schools aren’t ghetto? I have a white friend that graduated from the magnet program at Scotlandville in the 1990s same thing with McKinley

BR High White students went from the largest racial group to the second largest and they are now back to the largest. When they opened Liberty Magnet High, a lot of the Black kids left BR High b/c it was too challenging and competitive for them

Yall can have the culture at LSU, which has turned into a Southern satellite campus.

Give me Nicholls State.

Does Louisiana have a Republican legislature? Start blowing up their phones and emails until they do something about LSU and the state university system.

They won't be able to hide it anymore. I can't wait to see the change of that stat from fall 2027 to fall 2028.

They will continue to use the super score and try to get applicants to take test again focusing only on their lowest sections. It will not help enough, but it will be a stark change from basically telling applicants that below a certain score don’t submit scores. I think it was usually based on using the average score the prior year as a starting point which then helps increase the scoring averages annually.

The super score for ACTs is a scam as well. It allows students to go in and focus only on sections that need improving and then use the best score for each section across multiple tests to calculate their “composite” score. That change was the reason for one of the increases in ACT “composite” scores that LSU pushed as only seeking the best applicant.

I do hope these tests keep standards and difficulty levels up and don’t dumb them down where good scores don’t mean as much.

Universities currently operate as money makers, not educational institutions.

When I was in school and prior to that, there was always the threat of failing out or “not being invited back”. Today you have to mess up huge to fail out. The schools want all their paying customers back for as long as they want to attend.

Now, as long as you’re paying to be there, they’ll happily pile on some leftist indoctrination. But that’s just a cherry on top.

I've been to the SLU campus a few times lately for work and I'm impressed. I guess it's growing with the demographics of the area.

A lot of people shite on Nicholls, but considering the combined amount of appropriated state money and tuition/fee money that university has to operate on.....they do a damn good job in programs such as nursing, the culinary institute, education, English dept....

But did he submit his ACT score for consideration for admissions and scholarships? And was that his super score? Just in case it’s where they take the best section scores out of all your ACT tests and use your best ones to calculate your “composite” score for admissions and scholarship consideration (scholarships funded and/or controlled by LSU).

You can submit your ACT for TOPs consideration for LSU’s tuition and still withhold ACT score from being used for admissions, honors admissions, and scholarship consideration at LSU.
