18z gfs has this thing looping back, crossing Florida into the gulf then a Florida landfall in the exact same spot as the first landfall

Talk about shitting all over Florida

If that happens, Idalia is just wiping her arse all over Florida's face.

headed back to North LA by way of upstate SC, to check out some RevWar battlefields.

I assume Cowpens is on the itinerary. Site of ole Danny Morgan pulling out the trick play portion of the playbook and dropping a double envelopment on Bloody Tarlton. The only successful one in the Revolution I might add.

Best day for any continental general of the war outside of Arnold’s wild day at Saratoga IMO.

Cool little battlefield to check out.

Hope that surge doesn’t do too much damage to Captiva. We went a few weeks back and it’s still a bit of a mess.

Cuban radar indicates that the convection remains lopsided to the eastern side of the circulation.

Whatever is going on seems to be reigning in some of the intensity guidance of late. The 0z guidance was even lower than the 18z, which was lower than the 12z…

That’s relatively great news.

Indeed, Cowpens and Kings Mountain. Looking forward to walking hallowed ground, rain or not be damned. Any insider tips most appreciated.
