Have some PTSD from previous floods
I also have ptsd from previous floods but the huge pressure sores my horse is getting from laying down on the concrete our pasture has turned into is absolutely no fun. The barn hasn’t seen a drop since mid June. And I’m convinced it will never rain again.

That sucks, Aspy. I can't even make a joke about goats being more drought hardy creatures. Hope you all get some rain soon.

Those temps up near Chicago will kill people. Many up there don’t have AC in the home

Next week is going to suck for me. Temps like that mean fighting oxygen issues on the catfish ponds all night
I expect to lose a significant amount of fish

quote:Maybe August 18, 1936 in Iowa when the highest temperature ever recorded for that state in August hit 106.4 degrees.
If this isn't the hallmark of an out-of -control changing climate, then what is?
Or, maybe on July 14, 1936 for Iowa when the all-time high was recorded for that state when the temperature hit 108.8 degrees.
That summer of 1936 resulted in 232 heat related deaths just in the state of Iowa and over 5,000 heat-related deaths in the United States.
Or, perhaps out-of-control climate change occurred on August 20, 1950 in Sibley, Iowa when the low temperature record was set for August in Iowa when the temp dropped to 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
What were you saying about this summer's out-of-control climate change??
