Baton Rouge is always the epicenter of shitty places.

Pretty amazing
That's what happens when you have a 600 decameter dome on top of the center of the country. No rain and brutal temps.
It really is something. You can see the massive anti-cyclonic flow around it.

We need to it weaken and not drive all this incoming tropical moisture into deep south Texas and Mexico. I'm worried we might not get jack from it to the north.

More insight into our record-breaking triple-digit Houston summer. We are pacing 2011 at IAH, but the real story is on the south end of town at HOU, where we're breaking all kinds of records. It's not even close.

So this is the forecast one week from today?
Sheesh that looks scary. That cyclone south of Cuba will only intensify; there's a zone of excess heat in the Gulf, a horizontal shelf of deep tropical water on a line from about 100 miles south of Cameron, LA to 100 miles south of Port St Joe FL, which is superheated (well over 90° F). When that sucker passes over the heat zone, we're talking about a system that's essentially an EF-4 TORNADO, 30 miles wide, wherever it hits land-- scary.

I'm really starting to believe you are just an excellent troll that never breaks character.

And last year had already forged into 2nd place in hotness (after 2011). If this isn't the hallmark of an out-of -control changing climate, then what is? Just look at these graph, and step outside and bask in the oven-like heat. It's simply unreal.

Have some PTSD from previous floods so I’ll take heat over heavy rains any day (not that this system would cause issue, just cautious)
