Were you called up for Matthew? If so, what did you do?
Ya, we were. I'm in the new Cyber Protection Battalion that is standing up. Last year we basically monitored for cyber attacks on state infrastructure. A natural disaster is the perfect time for an APT to go after a government or major industry while everyone is focused on consequence management. It's SOP now to have a portion of my unit activated to monitor whenever a state-wide emergency happens.

Because people are dumb. I just picked up some cases because I figured might as well before they're gone.

Gonna be a really close call for San Juan. The on shore flow should still create a pretty big surge there, I would think.

I'm sure the Trump Administration has already loaded these two ships up unless they are in Beaumont delivering goods. These two ships are 4, 5, 10, and 20 day readiness ships.
They are currently sitting there as usual. Not in Beaumont.

I think we may actually fare better than Matthew if it keeps trending east.
I think there is expectation the models may move back to the west a bit. GFS moved west slightly, and if that did the Euro model will likely follow.

Is that Tortola or Virgin Gorda in the eye right now?
The saving grace for St. John is if it passes just on the north side of the island that most of the houses are on the south side of the mountain and may have some (albeit, minor) wind protection.

Yep storm looks like it did on Jeff's little computer during Harvey landfall.
All I know is the dark red inside the violet is the worse of the storm followed by the south counterpart.
