It’s based on the track. GA cuts in and will theoretically get “skipped”.

Wind currently in Titusville, Fl.. 20 mph. Cocoa Beach on the coast.. 22 mph. Good thing everyone evacuated.

Why is there a gap in the Hurricane Warning area? Hurricane Warning from basically Jacksonville, south, and from Savannnah, north, but only a TS Warning / Hurricane watch for the area between the two (i.e. the entire Georgia coast)?
The Georgia coast is concave and will be farther away from the center of the storm. In all honesty they should drop the hurricane warning for Florida. Keep it as a Tropical Storm warning. No one is going to see hurricane conditions south of the Carolinas.

Thank God huh? And to think up until 30 min ago this very thread was still calling this a major hurricane, needlessly worrying east coast posters. Glad we got it updated now though.

As I was just typing to say there’s no hurricane warning for my county in SC (first one across the GA boarder, I got the emergency alert stating we are now..

Good lord you are a fricking idiot. You don’t think people along the east coast are following this closely?

I fear that when they start going into these homes is when the body count is going to start rising.

That dude has been posting ITT like he was molested by a meteorologist as a child.

Wow. I don't see a single structure not destroyed.
But, I thought it was a chance the whole island could have been washed away

There are some, probably build post Andrew by people with enough money to build em right.
Also, Josh Morgerman finally confirmed to be ok and tweeting.

He stopped. He had to be helped in a Major way. So I helped him.

So, is all the island footage of the first Bahamian island Dorian barreled over or the big island it just sat and squatted on for 2 days?

How will the surge of seawater affect the homes not structurally damaged? I would imagine time would play a huge factor.

I mean, saltwater flooding isn't great. Going to be a hell of a demo, but at least the structure is there and unless it went totally.ufner the water would be enough to save your life in even the most extreme of conditions.

He and his family were found safe in their home a short time ago and decided to stay there. I'm curious about how high the water got outside his home. They had some water coming in through the hurricane windows apparently due to faulty installation/sealing.
I can't imagine when they would get power back.
