very cool town.

i've never been there but that's what i imagine.

pretty cool being at the top of AL. close to a lot of things. Tennessee, lynchburg, taledega, ATL if you want to go shoot yourself, Carolinas etc.

Personally, I have business up there 3-4 times a year & I'd live there.

Clean & the terrain is pretty cool

Rosie's cantina is great as well

I lived there for 10 months before transferring to Birmingham. I really enjoyed it. It has a lot of outdoors stuff to do like hiking, canoeing, white water rafting about an hour away, golfing, Wheeler National Park for hunting, Tennessee River for fishing and Lake Guntersville close by. They have a few decent restaurants and stuff to do. I do like Birmingham better though.

Best city in Alabama to have a family and make money, but Birmingham has a lot more to do.

Did about 2 months worth of training up there and I loved it. Was able to go fishing on the TN River, go to Lynchburg and Nashville on weekends, and went to a few breweries as well. I don't remember the food scene being anything memorable though, but I may have missed the good spots.

If you're fine with a 30-40 minute commute (just for distance, not traffic), then find a place to rent in Guntersville. Gorgeous place with good fishing, though I really wouldn't advise getting in the lake yourself.
