This feels like the biggest one to me. I saw a post the other day of some guy saying that he went to Idaho Falls on a Sunday and by the way it looked, he said there must be 100 million illegal immigrants in the country. Also legal and refugees.

Reliable source you got there. A guy who sized up the country’s entire illegal immigrant population from one day in Idaho falls

In all seriousness, I think blaming one’s shortcomings on a particular group of people is just not productive. If you can’t cut it in the US, that’s your fault. Educate yourself, work hard, make smart financial moves. Blaming others won’t get you anywhere.

and a return of 10% makes it a million in 14 years a return of 15% gets you there in a little over 9 years considering the AVERAGE rate of return of the stock market for the last 30 years is 10.5% you're intentionally low-balling the math

Maybe not. 7% is a historical average used for planning purposes. Banking on 10.5% average gains is unrealistic.

Muddy in spots but easily avoidable. Overall not really a problem

The lack of self awareness here is commendable

38% don't cook at home, even breakfast? No wonder a significant percentage can't afford things they think are other necessities (like a savings account).

I don’t “cook” breakfast technically unless pouring cereal counts as cooking
The fish head comment was funny too, like he took an unnecessary jab at his wife
The whole cannons thing gave it away. It sounded like an incel fantasy

What Austin currently is is what economists thought BR was going to be. Never happened

The reason Louisiana will never be an Austin is the people don’t want it to be. The majority of the people of Louisiana do not want change

To give a person the best chance at becoming a productive member of society, both parents are needed to be involved in a child's life. That's not happening, and there certainly isn't any 'raising' taking place either. It's a vicious cycle that only gets worse with time.

Exactly, people think the solution is just to be a better parent. Well these kids are born to teenage mothers and absent dads, so they had no healthy support system and thus have no idea what good parenting looks like. Then they knock up someone and the cycle goes on and on

t's interesting to me, though, that this tweet finally seems to have put a few people here over the edge. I was pretty appalled at cheering on Reiner's murder. The Easter tweet and then threatening to kill 90 million people two days later was enough for me

It’s funny to me, too as a mostly non religious observer…all the other terribly awful tweets are “trolling the libs” or “5D chess” or whatever but when it hits their sacred cow all of the sudden he’s not funny anymore. How does it feel now?

A rabid pro-Trumper I know said he was off the train after Trump posted this. You may not be a Christian, but this is offensive and not really understandable.

To me the whole Christian backing of Trump was always weird. The man is like the opposite of everything Jesus taught, no matter how you spin it

What’s not understandable is that he thought posting that would have a good outcome

Speaking as someone who lives in the fastest growing county in the state......it ain't all sunshine and rainbows. People are every damn where now, more pop up constantly out of every ditch and pothole around. T

Well yeah…that’s called growth

think about this. Do you not see the obvious problem? If they have mental deficiencies, how can they make this decision?

You could argue that, since they are the one who has to experience the pain of living, they should be the one to make that call

Tell me how you’re going to build more housing in NYC. You’re space limited. Only way is to go up, but you’d have to take down old buildings to do that, which becomes very expensive.

I know of a big ol green space smack dab in the middle of manhattan
