I almost had a heart attack when I checked our balances this weekend.

I need Christmas to hurry up and get here to stop the hemorrhaging.

$0

I use AMEX and don't carry a Visa balance

High interest debt is trashy

I said bill, not debt. I pay in full each month.

I did Christmas in July on QVC. Everything has been paid for since October.

My Amex bill last month was $11,700 or so. Paid in full. This month is trending lower.

Your credit card balance can be more than $0 right now and still mean you aren’t paying interest/carrying debt. Idiot.

Mine is probably at $7k thanks to the plane tickets to see family...

Excepting emergencies, I put a cap on credit card spending each month and work to stay as far under that as possible, then pay off the entire balance each month.

And Christmas shopping isn't an emergency.

That's nice. Although I've made over $1,200 in cash back just this year. 6% back on groceries is nice since it's the bulk of our monthly expenses.

Sorry, I don’t borrow money at an astronomical interest rate to buy other people gifts.

Mine are around $6500 right now, although that is thanks to paying about $1500 last Friday. I am done with almost everyone and all birthdays for the first quarter, so hopefully it will not be a terrible bill for January.

Sorry you miss out on the free plane trips and hotel rooms. Trip to Costa Rica and Vegas (minus gambling) were paid in full because of CC incentives/benefits.

Probably around 6k this month. I'm afraid to look and need to pay them in the next few days. I pay each month and never accrue interest. Christmas and some other major expenditures over the last month all put on the card (everything always goes on cards, never use debit or cash). More rewards points though. No reason to pay cash if I pay it off each month.

Have about $8K lingering right now. Was $38K a couple years ago, so progress has been made.

ETA: 0% interest, so I’ll pay it off before interest kicks in. Free money.

Kind of fitting that your credit card lets you go to the modern day Gomorrah and a 3rd world shithole

While you accrue the Devils credit card points I store up my treasures in the kingdom of Heaven as told by the prophet Dave Ramsey
