6% back on groceries is nice since it's the bulk of our monthly expenses.
I used to love the shite out of this, but Costco and Walmart eat up the bulk of our grocery shopping.
Walmart markets sometimes code as supermarkets though.

Cracking me up with this! To each his own. I prefer 0.00 debt. But keep telling yourself that you got $1200 in cash back. Lol
What is funny about that? If you are responsible and pay your bill at the end of each month you have no debt. Most cash back cards carry no fees, so it costs you absolutely nothing to save a sizable % on all of your purchases.

These threads always make me laugh. The only people who show up are those who report paying everything off every month, not the average American family that carries $7k in CC debt.
Ah but you forget, the average OTer is 6'5" 250 lbs 2% body fat, IQ of 148 earns $175K a year and is married to a super model.
We always have credit card debt because the wife is always looking for "0% interest until ______" deals where she can then do a home improvement project or what have you. Plus she just likes to spend money. We're probably around $20K right now. I COULD write a check for all of them, but since we're paying 0 interest on most of it as long as payments are met and its paid off before the end of the terms, why not finance?

I don’t own a single credit card. My debit card is just fine.
I'm sorry you will never have A tier rates.
You don't break 760 without decent available revolving.

We really need better financial education in this country.
He's not in debt if he's paying it off every month. He'll still get the cash back.
I'd like to know what credit card he's using. I'm getting 2% cash back on all purchases, and 6% groceries would be ~$100 more.

6% on groceries is the entry level amex

almost had a heart attack when I checked our balances this weekend.
I need Christmas to hurry up and get here to stop the hemorrhaging.

my guess is Amex Blue Preferred
It's 6% on groceries, 3% on gas and certain retailers, and 1% on everything else. You also get $200 cash back if you spend $1,000 in the first 3 months. Annual fee is $95.
It's a fantastic card

What's funny is that once again the OT bucks the odds , or the alternative that being that 90% of those posting in this thread are lying. Like the guy who claims he spends $11K a month on his CC and pays it off each month.

Actually bro you are right. I just looked it up and it was $10,935.65. Year to date on my AMEX I have spent $97k on it and have always paid it off. Don't hate brother.

You left out the 32 ACT score.

Hey man as a family guy with expenses and strong income we put everything on the AMEX. Don't hate because at one time I was like the others in this thread who carried a balance. I can assure you that last month as legit, albeit a bit above the norm.
ETA: believe me I wish that son of a bitch was lower. Already spent freaking 17k at restaurants this year.

There are some pretty wealthy people that post here. The board isn't exactly a sample of the average American family. Made up of mostly white, college educated men that sit in an office all day.

To his point though, most of them are fat.

It'll be paid off by the summer though and I'll be back to paying everything monthly. It hasn't affected my credit though thankfully. We chose to focus on rebuilding the savings rather than paying the cards fully.

I have about 3k on my American Airlines MasterCard but I just booked a last second trip to Denmark for next week. Will be paid off this week.
My personal cards, probably 1k or so moshed about a few between my wife and I. Easier to just pay at the end of the month.

Oh come on, it's beyond obvious that most of these guys are flat out lying about their "wealth"
