I'm in Ohio. I think we'd handle Indiana and Michigan. West Virginia would have a significant population disadvantage but the mountainous terrain would be tough to penetrate.
Pennsylvania would be a whole other animal.

South Dakota would play defense as well. Only about 700,000 people but everyone owns guns. We'd retreat the entire population into the Black Hills then dare NoDak, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, or Wyoming to come and get us. Good luck.

I recall reading years ago that at that time Alabama had the highest percentage of it's residents in the US military.

If we blow the bridges over the Tennessee river the hillbillies can't invade for fear of bathing. You then turn all the road signs 180 degrees in N. Florida and the face eating meth heads will attack towards the keys. If we can hold off Georgia with the East Bama snake handler brigade for a couple days they will apparently run out of water and have to surrender. That leaves Mississippi... Can a corn.
