If you can't see how the term white privilege using the definition provided in the basis for this thread doesn't say people haven't earned what they have then I can't help you.

You're projecting your definition of it onto me. I don't think it means that at all.

No such thing.....

Example: A White kid goes on Twitter and says ALL LIVES MATTER.....

White kid is then treated like a racist for making one of THE most innocuous statements in History, loses scholarship, becomes an outcast....

Black kid Tweets: "White people are evil", or even "I hate white people".....crickets.....

Black Privilege is a real thing.

Actually anyone can have WP, it means coming from a solid 2 parent family, your parents read to you everyday, they instilled in you the value of an education, made sure you did your homework and got good grades. They didn't just go to school to complain, they went to follow your progress, they taught you to respect your teachers and if you caused trouble at school, you were punished at home too. They taught you manners, to respect elders, to be self reliant, that you are not a victim, you are responsible for your actions, good and bad. They gave you a work ethic and self discipline.

BTW, I forgot to add, this is what is in the backpack.

If you are a minority and you teach your children that white's are privileged, you are giving them an excuse to fail, for some self-motivated kids, it doesn't matter, but for a lot of kids, you just crippled them.

Explain to your kid that if you have a Dad in thehome who hands you an empty backpack, you are better off than a kid whose single Mom hands him a full one.

It’s a sickness. The psychological need that some have for others to repudiate their race is absolutely without a doubt clinical in nature.

Who on earth would do this? They think this is a racial thing? Good god!

Good time to talk to your kids about bias, deception and half truths promoted by the media.

The mainstreaming of this white privilege bs is where our society has jumped the shark.

Teach my kids about what?

Nevermind the fact that I grew up poor af in a trailer park and did what I had to do and MAKE THE RIGHT PERSONAL DECISIONS to change my way of living.

There’s NO ONE in this country, with the right personal decisions, can’t pull themselves out of whatever shitty situation they’re in

I think it’s quite easy to do. And while you’re at it you can also cover things like the Easter Bunny, Santa, and the tooth fairy.

We have had a lot of talks about this over the past three months. I realized how much my teenagers only get their news about the world from quick headlines filled with drama and BS, so I've had to make sure they were grounded on things.

My daughter came home with a BLM bracelet that she made with her friends. I told her I respect that she wants to support them, but I also explained a lot about race relations and made sure she understood what was really happening in many of the protest/riots.

And I damn sure told my kids and made them watch a few videos about the Atlanta situation so they wouldn't fall for the BS.

For those that think I'm making this up.. Here is the commercial on Youtube

Comments disabled of course.

Just learn to accept it and yes it sucks.

Even when I was in high school they really started with the BS and I can't imagine how bad it is now in high schools.
Our school had made a deal with some media group called Channel One(I think that was it). They would provide the school with money to buy tv's and equipment for every classroom. School had to agree to show their content for 10-15 minutes every morning. It was supposed to be news/current events, etc. It had the liberal slant all in it.

Lmao these people think they are intellectuals too which may be the best part. Maybe if there were 2 parents to pack the backpack they could have snacks. Or maybe if the kids graduated high school they could pack their own? Or didn’t have a kid out of wedlock they would be better prepared to pack a backpack for their kid eventually

Interesting because I went to school as a child with a good many black kids who had better family and financial situations than my own. Oh wait their parents worked hard, didn’t frick around in school or the street and became doctors, lawyers, engineers, investment managers a couple of cops, and a radio DJ. All grew up more privileged than me. But I better apologize for my whiteness. No thanks. I’ll teach my kids to treat everyone equally. No one deserves special treatment.
