this^ will get it.. it's a enzyme thing and it works. it will do the trick. not sure who sells it in stores, possibly a wal-mart or a pet smart. i have gotten it from amazon


also, for really great measure..

get some regular vinegar or distilled white vinegar.. apply as much as that as possible to the exact location of your odor and let it sit.. scrub it well with whatever you have.. but use something that isn't too hard that it damages your product.. just use towels if you like..

scrub it all through on both sides.. then rinse..

now just hang it out somewhere to sun dry..

and you should be good..

vinegar is absolutely amazing at getting crazy bad smells out though.. it's almost the only thing to work to get out the smell of smoke in clothes, say from a fire.. yes it may smell like vinegar for a bit.. but rinse it will and sun dry.. and you should be good.. you can also later use just regular laundry liquid soap (do not use any with bleach) and hose that into the back pack and rinse out quickly.. then sun dry again.

i believe you can get it smelling good again.. but that enzyme thing works best so i would try that first, and just follow the directions. and reapply if needed. seriously good luck.


one other tip to consider.. you could try soaking it in a large bath tub with liquid soap as well if it would fit in there.. before rinsing it a final time. just make sure you are able to get it in the sun to dry really well.

wish you could a washing machine like mine.. it's huge and has no agitator in the middle.. you can throw king size bedding in it and it still doesn't fill it up.. has a nice soak feature too
