Roider was great. Made topics I had no interest in interesting.
He also cared for his students & their careers. We emailed back back and forth after graduation and still receive a Christmas card from him in the mail.
He is one of the good ones

You're right about Johnson getting Faulk and Harris. Johnson was said to be receiving death threats because Harris wasn't staying at closer school. Not sure of the validity of it though.
You know what ever happen to Harris?

re: People with car stickers honoring their dead loved ones..

I always check the year the person died against the year of the car they are driving. Whenever the death year is before the year of the car model adds to the trashiness in my mind

re: Is there anything that can be done to fix the crime issue in New Orleans?

No data..
This is from 710 Keel's website.
"For the past few years New Orleans...has been trending down. Now, with the shutdown, we believe that if we don't clean up the Quarter and bring it back with a bang, it will have a negative impact on tourism as we open up the doors nationally and internationally. So goes New Orleans, so goes tourism around the state."

Nungesser has been talking about using the gas lamp district in San Diego as a model to reclaim an area who has a huge problem with crime.
He said they are going to try and get Latoya to turn over police and garbage responsibilities to someone who would only be responsible for the FQ. He said something drastic has to be done because of how tourism is suffering because people are scared to travel to NOLA.

re: What to do with my kid's piggy bank money?
Posted by D.B.Cooper on 7/10/20 at 10:06 am to LSUtigerME
What I have done when my kids receive money as gift has worked well. I let them have it to spend if they choose but if they don't then I match what they "invest." It lets them see the power of investing and they get to watch their money grow.
re: I now believe LHSAA should go to baseball first in the fall
Posted by D.B.Cooper on 7/8/20 at 10:46 am to tigerskin
I don't. NCAA's decision will impact high school sports nationwide.
There was talk of FB starting games Oct 1 in LA with no fans. That would cut down on a lot of the travel that occurs outside of district games until the playoffs were to begin. That might be a solution.

Kids would have to pick which sport to play and that would cause problems. Coaches also coach multiple sports, this couldn't happen with two sports going at the same time.
