5,000 to 10,000 depending on the driving.

I have a Tahoe that burns a little so I just added what was low the other day. I'll probably go to 5K before the full change.

Every 5K, not more than 6K. See how black and degraded it is when drained and adjust if necessary.

The 5 series says 15k intervals, but I'm trying to do it at 7-8k. The Tacoma at 5k.

Synthetic? Show her the manual says 7500 mi. and compromise by changing the filter at 3500 mi. Problem with synthetic is not oil breakdown so much as filter. I change my filters at 3-4K no matter what and go out to 5-7K on my synthetic oil. I'm a little obsessive about vehicle fluids maybe. Pretty girl BTW. And you know the dog sort of resembles your avatar?

7500 and use synthetic. Make sure it doesn't recommend to change the filter at 3750 miles.

5k, synthetic. My dealership does $10 oil changes so sometimes I go more often

If mine were that cheap, I would go every 5,000. Lucky...

Synthetic - I change my own every 10k miles or 9 months, which ever is first. Usually 9 months comes quicker.

About 13,000 in the BMW. (287,000 miles on an E60 N54--'08 535 to the non enthusiast)
About 10,000 in the Audi's (90k on an A7 & 40k on an S7)

The BMW has a system that gauges oil changes by measuring fuel consumption, not miles. Since 90% of the miles on it are highway going above 70mph, not as much fuel is used as city (hence, not as much wear on motor at 2000 rpm)

The Audi's have Audicare purchased with the cars...changes at 5k, 15k, 25k, 35k, 45k, 55k, etc...

The oils are all synthetic....0W-30 Mobil1

It depends on how you drive the car. If your car operates in the severe duty range, you should change conventional oil regularly. 3-5k. Severe duty is defined as dusty environments (sugar cane season), short trips, hot ambient temperature, and stop and go traffic. 90% of cars operate in severe duty conditions.

Synthetic can go quite a bit further. We personally have done a test out to 12k on a f-150 sending in samples for lab analysis. Basically if your driving conditions are pretty consistent, you can do oil analysis and extend your drains. No one does this. I go 8k on synthetic.
