As much as I want to like my a5 it has been a turd so far. Extraction issues out the box, sent to browning. Get it back and go to kansas goose hunting and nothing but issues day after day. Mine hasn't been great by any means...

Look for API SN on the bottle and stick to the OEM viscosity grade. Also stick to big names (havoline/chevron, penzoil, castrol, valvoline, mobil) and you will be fine. If you want to get really crazy start taking oil samples and send a sample every oil change. You can see how the oil is holding ...
