As much as I want to like my a5 it has been a turd so far. Extraction issues out the box, sent to browning. Get it back and go to kansas goose hunting and nothing but issues day after day. Mine hasn't been great by any means...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Tell me about Engine Oil - batonrouger on 10/20/17 at 9:21 am
Look for API SN on the bottle and stick to the OEM viscosity grade. Also stick to big names (havoline/chevron, penzoil, castrol, valvoline, mobil) and you will be fine. If you want to get really crazy start taking oil samples and send a sample every oil change. You can see how the oil is holding ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)

re: What gasoline brand do you prefer? - batonrouger on 6/20/17 at 2:16 pm
In South Louisiana it doesn't matter. All gas from 3 or 4 refineries in BR most stations are serviced by the Exxon Refinery, New Orleans/North Shore/Houma/Thib Marathon/Phillips 66/Valero. SWLA/Lafayette CITGO/P66.
This is partly true. A distribution company can buy chevron gas fro...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: What gasoline brand do you prefer? - batonrouger on 6/20/17 at 2:12 pm
Any name brand gas Shell/Chevron/Exxon/Conoco will protect your engine better than walmart/racetrac/cheap gas. Chevron has a really good gasoline additive package. Generic gasoline has minimum additive levels that it must contain to be sold, the majors just add additional additives in order t...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Best way to free up a rusted padlock? - batonrouger on 11/7/16 at 5:05 pm
Breakfree clp. Gets rusty things moving. If it works on crimping pliers used in a salty offshore enviroment it will work on anything. Not only that but they stay moving after repeated use. Second option: kroil I work for a lubricants company ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Vacuum Food Sealer - batonrouger on 6/13/16 at 1:46 pm
Vacmaster VP215 and its not even close. We spend all this money going catch and kill stuff, why not keep your meat as fresh as possible? The external sealers are a real pain in the arse and dont work nearly as well. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Ford 6.7- A story for you all, Chad and Downshift, esp. - batonrouger on 1/4/16 at 7:49 pm
My dad's truck did the exact same thing. 67,000 miles ish. Happened about a 2 months ago. I noticed a oil drip in the driveway, so he went ahead and got the oil changed thinking it may be a loose filter or plug. Brings it to a guy that works on all of our trucks ( 15+ 18 wheelers). Locks up after...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
