And if you are lucky enough to get your kid(s) into BRMHS or Lee, you better hope they don't want to compete in the major HS sports.

Apparently, Lee is adding football next year.

I would be royally pissed if my kid couldn't go to Baton Rouge Magnet, which is one of the top 3 schools in the state, anymore due to St. George.

If you want your kid to go to Baton Rouge High then perhaps you should actually move to Baton Rouge then. The St. George deal won’t affect you at all if you live in Baton Rouge.

I'm pretty sure they had baseball this past year. But that's why I specifically used the word compete. They are going to struggle in sports for a while.

Even with Lee adding sports, that leaves Baton Rouge with only one good HS that offers major sports.

Back in the day, Lee High was Catholic High's biggest rival. I'm glad to see them bring sports back. Baton Rouge High should bring back football.

Bussing and sending kids to Tara (who should have gone to Lee) is what killed Lee High School. It's what killed all the high schools in Baton Rouge.

No "if" about it. The vote WILL happen and WILL pass.
The democrats in EBR will try to suppress it, call people racist...
The good people of the City of St George will just use the lies to fuel the vote. We desperately want this to happen - and it will!

What are all of you gonna do when the urbans move into SG? Start another city?

We’re gonna make sure the property values stay too high for them. Also we’re gonna put a moat around the city

Don't forget:
1. add toll roads
2. encourage an aggressive police presence

there will be around 35 cars found with ballots in the trunk containing a few thousand "correct" votes, coincidentally just enough to go BR way

I remember back in the late 70's and early 80's when they had a minor rivalry going on with Broadmoor (our real rival was Tara). We would get "Beat Lee" t-shirts printed before the football game.

It's idiots like you that are a big part of the problem. All of the lies about St. George trying to break away from the city, when it was never part of BR to begin with.

On the bright side, it will make residents of 97% white populated areas of the country feel good about how they’re better than us because they aren’t racist.

You do understand that under the current situation thousands of HS kids can't go to BRHS?

You could write a 1,000 page Federal Report of how busing slaughtered Broadmoor HS, which for me will forever be the poster child for the travesty that was the Judge John Parker desegregation order.

BRPD would all but collapse. You would wake up. And the border guards would be gone. That is a very bad thing.
